Is this the new BIG XII commissioner?

Well his biggest challenge will be renewing the television contracts. So hopefully his strength is in negotiations. His background may help him on this mission. College football television rights is all about the entertainment value.

Since he's not be promoting being within the box...he should provide a new set of eyes and vision moving forward. I like the pick.
Me too, The other p5 leagues are the good ol boys club.) our new big 12 expands across 3 time zones so we will need someone to market it differently to maximize the tv deal

I think most people are forgetting that ROC Nation has a pretty formidable sports agency division. With the new NIL deals and transfer portal this is exactly the type of forward thinking the Big XII needs. In the same mold as the Lakers hiring Rob Pelinka, Golden State 's Bob Meyers, Brodie Van Wagenen GM of the New York Mets, Bruce Allen when he was with the Raiders and Washington, Andrew Brandt with the Packers or Mike Tannenbaum.

Thus could be a huge hire.

Good point. I assumed everyone knew this but don't think I saw it mentioned.

The Pac 12 is in the bad spot they are in because they lacked forward thinking leadership for so many years.

This outsider may actually benefit us and any other b12 members moving forward if he is able to land the all-important tv contract.

I’ve heard nothing but really good things about him so far. I think that he’ll get more credit that deserved if this next phase goes well and more blame than deserved if it doesn’t, but it’s really nice to have a commissioner who is at least somewhat competent.

Trying to remember if we’ve had one before…
Im rooting for him. CFB’s problems start and end with the “good ol’ boys” that continue to ruin the sport

Former Big XII Commissioner, Dan Beebi was the ultimate Old School, 'good ol' boy' and his complete and absolute incompetence led to a league without A&M, NE, CU, and Missou and a future without TX and OU.

In light of the conference's history of shakey, uninspired, "Same old, same old" leadership, the hiring of Yormark seems to me like the Big XII is finally getting its act together.
