Honest question. I've been following UCF baseball a long time, but I still don't consider myself a baseball expert. In all those years I've been watching, I've never seen a kid both start on the mound AND hit. The guy IS just a freshman. Is there a risk of burning him out? We need every able arm we can get, and you certainly don't want to take his bat out of the lineup. But I wonder if it would serve him better to have him focus on one or the other. High school plays, what, about 20-25 games a year? We getting close to that now. If Rooney thinks he can handle it, great. Just curious since we see so few "2-way" players like him.
