Not sure what you mean. Are you talking about the Rutgers team of 2013 who we spanked? They were very mediocre. Also, Maryland hasn't exactly been a powerhouse either.

Bowling Green's record against the P5 with its limited shrinking budget is 3-16. We build a new stadium and pay a coach close to 2 million and we can only muster up a 7-21 record...mind you 4 of those wins were when we were an actual AQ school for one year lol.

The only reason Rutgers was taken had nothing to do with how they play. They brought MILLIONS $ to the table. Adding Rutgers added New York to the Big 10 channel which added several million $ to each and every team. Rutgers could be Vandy and no one in the conference will ever care.
