ITT: The Worst Beers You Have Tried

Kinda agree w the IPA sentiment. Really have to be in the mood for one. Maybe 1-2 a year of those for me.

Keystone Light & Old Milwaukee Light both pretty terrible & I can tolerate cheap AB beers, but think i am 3/3 on puking after Keystone Light.

Hefe's and other wheat beers taste like silicone. They make me want to vomit.

I can remember one specifically, EKU28. Some German malt liquor. Drain poured that thing.

Dont remember the name of it, but it was a Russian beer I had while in Dresden Germany. There was also some chili pepper beer that was nasty. [sick]

The "Merit Lite" from Aldi that looks like an imitation of Miller. It tastes like old pennies. It's right next to the San Jose's Cerveza and Boot Tread.

The best beer I've ever had was an amber ale nitro at Thirsty Topher. I don't remember which craft brewery it came from! I'll never find it again.

OT: I tried the Kona Hawaiian brewed golden ale this weekend. Awesome. Tastes fantastic as a pool beverage.

I have two new additions from over the weekend.

Big Top Brewery IPA and Big Top Brewery Key Lime Wheat, both equally disgusting.

The IPA was like eating pure hops with no other flavor and the key lime wheat tasted like pie, way too sweet. gross.

I'm surprised chemmie hasn't come in here and told you pukes that it is only bad unless he says so.

Was it Hornswoggled by Cigar City? Kind of tastes a like vanilla? They always seem to have that on tap at Thirsty Topher.

Have to agree with everyone else on IPAs and any large American brew (except maybe Sam Adams, but I think they're still technically micro). If I had to pick just one beer, it would be Old Style. Had to try it at Wrigley and it was very metallic. I have tried IPAs many times hoping I'll like the next one and never do.

My favorite beer ever is Red Cypress Death Roll Nitro Stout. So smooth and good.

Everything from Big Top is disgusting. How that place still makes beer is a mystery to me. I love craft beer, but they get way to experimental and are just down right awful.

All at a beer fest..

Prestige Beer.
Evil Eye
Natural "Nati" Light.
Schlitz

All nasty!

I had a taste of a 'Rum-Barrel' beer (I can't remember the exact name) and it was nasty. Tasted like Rum mixed into the beer but without the extra alcohol.

I agree it could have been the Hornswoggled since it's pretty rare to put ambers on nitro (I worked at Topher before and during my pregnancy) but just to be sure why don't you go in and ask- the owners are super nice (the big muscles dude, Ron, is the biggest beer geek and can probably narrow it down for you).
