Insiders tell GN that Georgia defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt would “jump at either job” if Miami or UCF came calling in their searches for a new coach.
Getting the UM job would seem to be an extreme long shot, but Pruitt would fit at UCF.
Pruitt, 41, is in his second season at Georgia after serving as Florida State’s DC in 2013, when the Seminoles won the national championship in his only season at the school. Before his stint with the ‘Noles, Pruitt was awunderkind on Nick Saban’s defensive staff at Alabama; he served as director of player development from 2007-10 and as secondary coach from 2010-12. Pruitt, who played defensive back for the Tide, was a high school assistant from 2000-06 before he was hired by Saban.
