That’s not entirely true. The Gov can create jobs where none existed before, Obama’s administration was full of that kind of creation, but those jobs largely come as a burden on the economy. Government can provide grants to stimulate innovation, but I would submit that the private sector handles that much better. So, yeah, I agree with your sentiment that the Government works best when it is managing the playing field and not trying to be one of the teams.
