Yep. An act done by people that view Washington as a bunch of rich power-grabbers that stole the election empowered by a media that lies to them.
Now we are going to have an inauguration ceremony involving a bunch of rich people and celebrities, covered by the media in such a way that it will look like a party. They'll probably have fireworks and cocktails. Meanwhile the military is surrounding the event, keeping people inside their homes so they can safely have their party.

No, they 100% needed to continue confirming the electors. My point is that at this point there needs to be some self reflection in DC and truly try to understand why that happened. The last thing they should do is have a display of Bidens win that shows any level of decadence, particularly if it involves the military protecting their celebration. Yes, under normal circumstances it should be something that we all would celebrate, but I think it would be in the best interest of both Biden and the country for it to be a ceremony that shows a lot of humility.
Decadence? The national guard is camping out at the Capitol for security during the ceremony.
If you want military decadence, check out Trump's departure. I've heard he is going to have a military band playing, a 21 gun salute, and a jet flyover in the morning as he boards Airforce One for a flight to Florida. No lie.
More Trump obsession. Good lord man, you need to realize at some point that not everything revolves about what Trump does.

Blame the crazy MAGATs. If they didnt storm the capital and MURDER a cop, assault several others, and vandalize the capital then we wouldnt need 20k troops.
It really looks like political theater. Twenty five thousand troops to protect the inauguration of a man who only kind of knows where he is(good thing Pelosi checked in on that 25th amendment). A giant barbed wire fence around the capital, bridges closing and that sweet sweet five days of celebration so you don’t realize what is happening. I’m going to pretend they are live streaming from Venezuela.

That’s a good question. I wish there was an easy answer. But, for brevity’s sake I will say it is their fault. Politicians will be as corrupt as they can get away. We’ve crossed a line into political chicanery and weird leader praise that shouldn’t exist in the states. That goes for the cult of his royal orangeness and President Harris.
Did you know the DA of San Francisco used to be Hugo Chavez’s translator? He is also the son of two imprisoned members of the weathermen. He was raised by Bill Ayers and supported by Soros. All of that is true and seems like a boogie man that Ted. Cruz dreamed up to scare his grandkids.

I just find the fact interesting and funny. The guy is a literal stereotype of what Republicans think Democrats are. My post had nothing to do with the election nor do I think all Biden voters are socialists. I think a lot of them voted against Trump more than for Biden (I know my wife did for this reason). Biden was hidden during the election season and treated with kid gloves when he came out. I don’t think most people know much about what Biden believes. Rice and Harris will be running the show, so it doesn’t matter what he believes anyway.
Bc Biden was smart . His strategy was to let Trump implode by letting the country see how insane he is. Other candidates would not have had that discipline , he was the perfect candidate for this cycle .
I don’t know. Maybe Biden had something to do with his sitting back and waiting, but his team also safely guarded him. Just the last few times I’ve seen him in online content, he looks lost a lot of the time. His group know he is declining and is in no shape to lead our country. I don’t see how anyone can disagree with that. There should be limits on how old a candidate can be to run for president. But, yes Trump is ridiculous enough to destroy himself in the public eye without anyone’s help.
Really? I believe the majority of Americans feel he has handled himself extremely well since the election. I was not a huge Biden fan during the primaries but he has stepped up and has been 'the man for the moment' during this critical time in American history.
As with everything, time will tell. But I think his critics would be hard-pressed to find much fault with how he's handled the transition thus far.

I have to smile when I read criticisms like this. Once upon a time, that was a major right-wing talking point: "Yeah, Obama can READ somebody else's speech off a teleprompter but that doesn't make him a great leader!"
Looks like we're back there again. For some reason, it does feel a little hollow when their guy would 'go off script' and make a complete fool of himself on a regular basis.
