The Seminole County tax collector posted on his personal Facebook page Saturday: “Very simple question... Name just ONE society in the developed world that has benefited in ANY WAY from the introduction of more Muslims. Just one. Asking for a friend.”

And he's catching a lot of heat for it.

I just want to know if anyone has answered the question yet.

It's a dumb question purely on premise. America has added more Muslims throughout our history and I wouldn't say it's deteriorated our country. That is, of course, different from what's going on in Europe (read: Germany) where millions of Muslims from vastly different cultures poured in at once.

What if highly skilled American Muslims migrated to Greece? That'd be a definite benefit given the lack of economy there.

If I'm playing along on a macro scale, I'd argue that the Muslims who conquered southern Spain in the 8th Century benefited that region better than the then controlling Visigoths did. They built the Alhambra and advanced the cause of science and exploration during their rule until they were run out by the Catholic Spanish.

Not to mention the way in which it's worded. What does "introduction of more Musims" mean? It sounds like there were Muslims to begin with, so where did they come from? Were they introduced or were they already there and converted. Which brings up another issue - what if more people who were already there had converted? Technically they weren't "introduced" as the question is worded. Just a dumb question all the way around.

Don't boneheads like this realize they're hurting more than they're helping?

It's a dumb question. The Seminole County tax collector is an idiot for even getting involved in this mess.

The quote was started by Neal Boortz. He is a libertarian talk show host. Guys like him, Joe Scarbrough, Jake Tapper, Sean Hannity, etc. etc. etc. are all trying to stir up the pot to start heated conversations on hot topics where the end result is more listeners and more book sales.

For an elected politician to tweet that and then argue over twitter shows a glaring lack of common sense.

The United States is the greatest example of non-radicalization, and full normalization.

The problem is when the Progressives, US media and other lunes keep wanting to let radicals not be prosecuted, hiding behind "freedom of religion."

That's not a problem with Islam. That's a problem with radicalization, and not holding people accountable.

I am against the general 'war on thought' and anything I consider 'illiberal.'

The problem is ... since 2006, I've ended up defending Conservatives, Christians and Citizens more than Progressives, Undocumented Residents and Muslims.

The sad irony in all of this is that more and more African-American citizens and newer generation Immigrants are starting to see the problems the Progressives are creating with their 'illiberal' arguments too.

It's not that Conservatives can't be 'illiberal,' far from it! But the Progressives are still trying to say they are Liberals, and they are anything but ... and now worse than the Conservatives in many regards. I mean, it's one thing for Trump to [wrongly] threaten to do something, but it's another when the Progressives actually do something that takes away freedom.

Throwing not 1, but 2, reporters in jail was the 'wake up call' for some in the media. I say 'some' because I cannot believe how childish CNN journalists are getting at this point.
