Nice to see UCF Hoops get some pub from Florida Today.

No doubt Tacko's presence (plus all the other new players) should add to more wins, more publicity, etc...starting next year.

Tacko was again at the UCF game vs Houston on Sunday. He walked thru the crowd down to the court after the team high-fived the crowd around the court...Tacko was slapping hands with everyone...then, when he made it to the court and headed to the team lockerroom, he obviously towered over everyone...as he was up to 2 feet taller than some around him.

Best thing about Tacko is that he is seems to be a great kid...someone who has jumped head first on the amazing opportunity this country has to offer anyone, including those from Senegal...and now has an A average in school, speaks 4 languages, let alone improving his somewhat short basketball career/game, each and every year.

Size 21 shoes. 3" taller than anyone in the NBA. If this guy can fill out that frame, get stronger and a little quicker it could be amazing. you never know with the big men. They are either boom or bust. I hope he can be a "big player" at UCF

Just from a rebounding/blocked shots perspective:

In Conf Games:

Blair averages 1 rebound every 4.8 mins he plays and 0.7 shots blocked per game.

McBride averages 1 rebound every 2.8 mins he plays and 1.1 shots blocked per game.

I think Fall can average similar results, even as a Freshmen...and any pts he scores is just an added bonus.

As long as Tacko can help with defense and rebounding, that'll be fine with me. I don't think he needs to be a superstar to help out (although I will certainly not complain if he does prove capable of playing at an NBA level!).
