Basketball players: let's kneel for a symbolic song to protest being murdered and these treasonous rallies happening on our campus.

You literally said they are rejecting the flag and anthem. They are not. You know this and if not we'll just agree to disagree and move on. This narrative is so played out.

A failure (or unwillingness) to understand the nature of the protest was always the problem with the misguided anger over the NFL players kneeling.

It's about bringing attention to a social issue, not a sign of disrespect. Disrespecting our flag is seen when boorish fans continue walking to their seats during its playing, not when players respectfully kneel.

If genuine disrespect towards our country was intended, I'm pretty sure players could find a better way to do it.

The only ironic part here is the guys that went to play for the Old Miss Rebels got mad when the Rebels showed up.
