If you guys want to talk about correlations between people and their political opinions, how about we talk about The Most Obvious One: Income.

Funny how the States with the highest median incomes -- which translates into the best public schools -- are all Democrat-leaning while the States you can always count on to vote Republican are primarily poor states clustered around Appalachia, the South and the Midwest. Weird how that works, huh?

Look at the five poorest States in our nation: Mississippi, Arkansas, West Virginia, Alabama, and Kentucky.
  • Is it any surprise that they are the BIGGEST Red States to be found?
  • Is it any wonder that they have the LOWEST Covid-19 vaccination rates in the nation?
  • Take a guess which states were the FASTEST to enact sports bans for transgendered girls?
  • And how about the ones SLOWEST to remove Confederate statues?
But let me guess, this has nothing to do with their poverty levels or the quality of their schools. These states are actually The Enlightened Trendsetters, right guys?

now take your racist bullshit somewhere else

In most of those blue richest states, Incomes are higher, as is cost of living and taxes. You make more but Government takes a much bigger slice of the pie, as does higher housing, food, energy, and more cost. A 1 mil house in California cost 500k in florida and the taxes and insurance on that 500k is also much less. At the end of the day lifestyles are very similar either way.

Why are people leaving the democratic sh!tholes?
Interestingly, the old Democrat 'blue strongholds' of PA, Ohio, and Michigan are turning more 'purple' as those states get poorer while Republican red states like Georgia, TX, and NC are turning more purple as the populations and incomes increase.

You have to be trying to appear this stupid. Please tell me this is all an act.

Well, I kind of agree with Shuck. Look at Big Tech, Hollywood and the entertainment industry. Those sectors are flooded with rich elitist snobs who constantly virtue signal and talk down to dumb people in fly over country. There are a ton of rich Democrats which also means those folks are just hypocrites too. They constantly tell the rest of us we can't make without big government and big taxes and it takes a big government program or government intrusion into our lives to be saved from oursekves. Yet somehow they all made it big without a big government program .

Y'all constantly decry systemic racism yet by your own account the system is largely controlled not by hicks in Alabama but the federal government which is populated top to bottom with Democrat voting bureacrats. It's lead by Democrats and for 42 years our President has been part of the system which is by their words racist yet he has spent 42 years in it and not changing a damn thing. Democrats have been in control of the very system they complain about and then want to pin it's failings on none other Republicans. in Minnesota, Portland and Seattle all those places are controlled by rich liberals. Yet they pretty much suck right now . None of those cities are controlled or have been controlled by conservatives for decades. Rich blue elites Shuck run Chicago and it's death culture. Rich liberal elites run Seattle and Minneapolis. They run the city cops and mayor's offices and city councils . So, I guess their riches and wealth clearly lead to better quality of life and peace and harmony?

So, you're right brother Shuck the Blue states are smarter and better and richer. They are filled with globalist elites who truly don't care about the working man. And yet those blue states are losing population from people fleeing all those wonderful programs, regulations and taxes. They are fleeing to I don't know , red states filled with poor suffering idiots . Why is that?

Weird. The blue strongholds ended up getting poorer in the end? The red states got richer in the end?

It's almost like we could learn something from this.

You’re trying to make a point about political opinions and incomes, but you’re doing it at… the state level? Clearly you don’t know anything about, well… anything, because that way of going about it is unbelievably flawed.

There are plenty of actual studies about voting habits by income level. You should probably read them if you’re interested in the topic.

Taking state voting patterns and trying to paste them onto state median incomes is a hilariously stupid way to approach this.

Silly me. I was under the assumption that our federal government was composed of a House and a Senate composed of representatives elected at the State level.
ITT: shuck shows off his elitism and disdain for those stupid poor people.
Well I'll be damned. I guess your definition of 'elitism' and 'distain' depends on who you choose to compare yourself against, huh?

This board is littered with racist and homophobic threads, but I am the one who is supposedly acting better than everybody else by simply pointing out who the poor states are in our country and perhaps explain why the citizens there behave the way they do? Yeah, how DARE I trash other people, right guys? :)

wait for it
  • Of all the people who reported as Black, 54 percent lived in the South, 19 percent lived in the Midwest, 18 percent lived in the Northeast and 10 percent lived in the West.

I should know better than to encourage this fool by dignifying one of his posts with a response but this gem literally BEGS for one.

Dear glaciers,
With such a high percentage of Blacks living in the South and Midwest
, did you ever stop and wonder why these states are SO RED? Hmmmmm....what's up with that? :)
Love,
Shucky

yeah, we're pretty tolerant and welcoming of blacks down here so they stay. you'd know that if you weren't hiding in a state that was 96% non-black.

I point out where the COVID stupidity in this country resides. But instead of acknowledging the painfully obvious, we get a defensive, tit-for-tat rant about those ‘blue state global elites who don’t care about the working man.’

Not sure what the hell blue state snobs have to do with our continuing pandemic DESPITE the existence of highly effective vaccines now. But my best guess is that it’s yet another convoluted reason why poor dumb people don’t trust the government, amiright?

I talk income and education and Nautiknight answers with Chud politics.

Nautiknight fell asleep in his courses on classical rhetoric during the days on which the straw man, hasty generalizations, red herrings, and non sequiturs were taught.

Now we'll get a monologue on how he majored in biology.

Yes...you can't compare income levels in New York city vs Mississippi or Alabama.
You're missing the point entirely. The issue is the poorest people (whether they reside in Harlem, Mississippi or Alabama) who are most likely to be unvaccinated.

They are the people YOU are following.

Reverse psychology could be the most effective way to get the vaccine hesitant to get the jab at this point. Biden should just come out and say that people have 2 months left to get it and after that we are going to start sending our doses to other countries that won't just have them sitting in storage.

Following? 97% of those 65+ in Florida have at least 1 shot. What are you talking about? I really don't care if someone 18 years old won't take it.
Go ahead, keep ignoring the obvious: the issue is income and education, not age. Why are you marching with the poor-ass dumbsh*ts in this country.

Aren’t minorities most likely to be poor and lack education, at least statistically?
Aren't you the guy whining that 'everything with the libs is about race'??!? :)

This is about poor dumb people of all races, shapes, and sizes as well as urban or rural.

you not realizing that you made a racist observation isn't our fault.

and yes, it is all about race with the leftoids when you're fighting ghosts. as soon as data comes into the equation, you suddenly don't wanna categorize it.

pedo

I agree with this. Right now, anybody who is dying is because they are choosing to die. After another month or so, we should sell all the vaccines to other countries and let the anti-vaccine people figure out where to find it if they change their mind
