More hilarious left wing utter f*cking insanity.

Summary: abortion fans insist that fetuses cannot feel pain, yet are able to self identify as an alternate sex even while in the womb.

Couric reported that intersex babies provide a “great foundation to talk about where gender comes from.” Rather than “imposed,” gender is “really a deeply biological thing,” she said.

“Just because you operate on a child and tell that child you’re a certain gender,” she added, “that doesn’t necessarily coincide with who that person feels he or she actually is.”

Even in the womb, a baby can “feel” like a different gender, she went on to say.

“In the later stages of development, it’s when your brain is wired, and sometimes a surge of testosterone can make… a female fetus feel as if that baby is male or that person is male,” she said. “And the opposite, if there’s not enough testosterone.”

A lot of adults can't even self identify so how in the hell can a fetus? I didn't even know a fetus knew the difference. I learn something new every day!

It seems like we need to dedicate a cliff in California for people like this

Some Intersex cases are actually quite sad. I don't think a fetus can tell what gender it is, obviously, it doesn't have the mental capacity to know where it is.

What I think she meant is that the overall body can probably feel the effects of either the testosterone or estrogen. In the case of Intersex, a lot of times the parents make a decision on how the child will live right at birth and they choose "wrong". There's a sad documentary about this where the children's parents chose for him to live as a male (had the surgery when they were born) but they were wired internally as a female and it caused all sorts of mental harm to the kid, who eventually committed suicide.

You know which group has a remarkably similar suicide rate as transgenders?

People with schizophrenia.

Trans isn't schizophrenia

It is a dissociative identity disorder

Very difficult to treat

I'm pretty sure you all are joking but tbh - crossed the line for me. Know too many people who've struggled way too much with this for it to be a joke. Kid suicide isn't funny.

Another sickening form of attack on our society.
For years the libtard media have been going after adults forcing multiculturalism and diversity.
Then homosexuality in adults.

Now they are going after our children. Poisoning their minds, souls, and bodies. It is absolutely sickening. Pedo-desta and Billy C the perv must get off this type of thing.

Wayne wasn't saying trans is schizo, he was making the comparison of trans to a mental disorder. So you are both in agreement.

It wasn't a joke, as suicide never is. It was an analogy showing that transgenderism is a mental disorder.

I've always been supportive of gay rights, I've lived with the belief that what you do in your own house is your business as long as it's not against the law or harms a child. Since the North Carolina bathroom issue I have had a change of heart. I still support gay rights but I draw the line at trans issues, mainly because those rights infringe on others in a public way. Why does my niece have to play on a soccer team with a trans who is physically a boy? Like is said, don't care if your trans, get the surgery and move on, I doubt many would care.

How is a guy who sees himself as a woman different than a guy who sees himself without legs? and wants them gone. Both people are sick and need help, not encouragement to mutilate themselves.

Jesus, what is wrong with you people. So closed minded. Just because you don't understand something and it hasn't happened to you, doesn't mean it isn't a real issue.

I agree it is a real issue. Mental Illness.

Then please explain why being gay is not a mental illness but being trans is. Just because you don't understand something, doesn't mean it's a mental illness. I think doctors and psychologists would strongly disagree with you analysis.

If a man can feel that he was actually meant to be born a woman, then he can feel that he was actually meant to be born a dog yes?

I thought we already covered the whole animal argument when we were first discussing gay marriage?

I thought gay marriage was legal? Its something I fully support.

So where do you line up with a guy feeling he was meant to be born as a dog?

It was a classic line that many people used to argue against gay marriage. If he can marry a man, what's to stop him from marrying a dog? Same thing, different day.

I'm not going as far as the others are, but here's what is perplexing: I fully accept that people are born either gay or straight. What defies this science though is when someone is born a gay man, yet converts to a woman, only to date men. If a person has no choice in being gay, as is proven, then it would have to be a CHOICE to convert to a woman and pursue men, thus establishing a heterosexual interaction. It would in effect defy the fact that being gay is biological.

Thus this leads to an opening for the possibility that switching genders is in fact psychological, caused by certain circumstances, rather than someone organic or natural.

There's not sufficient evidence indicating as such. To what could such be attributed outside of a "gay gene", for which there is no substantial evidence.

The relationship between choice and psychological disorder is not by necessity exclusive or inclusive. At a certain point, many psychoses are consciously allowed / disallowed by the host. Some are not. Many gays report that they had no choice. Some clearly engaged in homosexuality voluntarily by choice or exclusion from the heterosexual mating pool through evolutionary deselection or social darwinism.

It would in effect defy the fact that being gay is biological.

There is a difference between biological and psychological. Gay is clearly not biological, as discussed above.

Thus this leads to an opening for the possibility that switching genders is in fact psychological, caused by certain circumstances, rather than someone organic or natural.

Yes, this is correct. It is most closely defined as a form of dissociative identity disorder

Gay is most likely its own form of identity disorder

Now, classification as an identity disorder is not necessarily socially damning and should not be something to fear by gays. Modern society has shown a general acceptance of the gay disorder, and has decided that rehabilitation is not necessary in order for an individual to function or gain acceptance in society. Hence, gays should really not fear association with a psychological disorder, as society would generally not require "conversion therapy" as treatment

However, much of society still believes that the allowed existence and perpetuation of trans disorder would significantly disrupt social order and cause specific modes of discomfort for the general population

More research is needed to determine potentially effective treatment methods for trans disorder. Treatment of dissociative identity disorders is extremely difficult, causing much suffering within hosts, and having very limited success rates to date. It would be a breakthrough in psychological discovery to find a treatment

However, the difficulty, pain, and low success rates associated with currently known treatment do not inherently authorize perpetuation of the disorder at the expense of the general population's well being, as the liberal agenda would have you believe. This is because an underlying premise of trans disorder is public presentation in falsehood

The difference is between the DSM-IV and the DSM-V

The military has a plan to accommodate. Agree or not it is here and for better or worse, when pressed, the military is usually in front of the rest of the country when it comes to social issues. The rest of the nation will follow.

But the cause of disossiative identity disorders are currently associated with traumatic experience occurring during the most formative years, typically years 1-9, of the development of a child. Yes, I understand that the cause of identity disorders are not well understood and there isn't an inordinate amount of evidence to support such but this is really no different that the "nature" argument of a "gay gene" for which you are arguing against. Furthermore, if you look at many of the typical symptoms of disossiative identity disorders, I don't know that they would correlate well (admittedly, I really don't know much about transgenderism) and it seems to be a rather small subset that do.

not sure what the bolded part means... explain

and read up - the signs of DID are almost 1:1 with transgender disorder

There is no real compelling argument or data available to fully discount genetic causation(nature). However, I did find a statistic that states 99% of individuals who develop disassociative identity disorder have recognized personal histories of recurring overpowering and other life threatening disturbances.

Typical symptoms of DID include time loss, trances, and out of body experiences which are not characterized by psychosis. Although identity confusion is a part of DID, so is depersonalization, derealization and amnesia. All of these are part of having multiple personalities, each having its own specific realities including age, gender or race.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find many gay people or transgender people with many, if any, of these symptoms.

Let's go through:

  • Amnesia or blackouts (in the absence of substance use) - Many documented cases of multiple personalities in trans. Also, trans often cannot remember a time when their gender identities were aligned with their biological sex; This very well could be a form of subconsciously selective amnesia.
  • The person referring to him or herself as "we" -See above; Many documented cases of multiple personalities
  • The person being told that they did certain things to don't recall. The person may find unfamiliar objects or samples of strange handwriting. - See above
  • Phobias; fear, often undifferentiated - Ever noticed that gays and trans are very jumpy, fear-induced people? It's a fairly consistent trait.
  • Hostility and anger - Gays and trans both tend to be very aggressive and quick to escalate in conflict
  • A sense of betrayal - Accusations (and actual occurrence) of cheating are so frequent they're cliche among these types
  • Problems with sexual adjustment - Obvious
  • Increased levels of sexual behavior - Obvious
  • Prostitution - Trans are everywhere in prostitution rings
  • Substance abuse - Obvious
The trans tend to lump these unhappinesses together and collectively refer to them as "gender confusion" or "gender dysphoria"... What's problematic is that they then go on to substitute "dysphoria" for "disorder" in a rather cavalier fashion by explaining that many trans are happy with their condition. Of course they're capable of being "happy" with their condition... the easiest route to addressing a problem is always avoidance. If the fulcrum of dysphoria in their mind is in avoidance (cultural rejection), and that fulcrum can be removed, then their path to pain-free continuance is free and clear. Hence the liberal agenda.

What's dangerous and irresponsible is authorities on psychiatry, and society as a whole, declassifying these as disorders and going the "dysphoria" route, implicitly authorizing avoidance as preferential to treatment.
