Yes, an FCS gameSo even with Kent State we still need another game in 2023?
USF would have to drop games to make that happen. They're booked up until 2028.Mohajir may be working w/USF in getting them on the books for a while. I'm ok w/this. Althought we've passed them going to a P5 league, I'd still want to play them annually...similiar to Colorado and Colorado State. Both schools realize fans want the game and the money generated.
Or shuffle a game around....not a big deal. AD's are typically good at negiotiating.USF would have to drop games to make that happen. They're booked up until 2028.
If you’re only going for one game sure, but you said annually. Shuffling around five seasons worth of OOC games would not be easy.Or shuffle a game around....not a big deal. AD's are typically good at negiotiating.
Agreed...but it's not like the perfect answer has to be made now.If you’re only going for one game sure, but you said annually. Shuffling around five seasons worth of OOC games would not be easy.
Kent Read, Kent Write, Kent State!
All the 2 for 1 games they booked played a part in filling their schedule. Booked with Florida, Miami, Louisville, not sure if I missed any others they were handing out 2 for 1's like candyUSF would have to drop games to make that happen. They're booked up until 2028.
Correct. All the 2 for 1 games they booked played a part in filling their schedule. Booked with Florida, Miami, Louisville, not sure if I missed any others they were handing out 2 for 1's like candy
Yep, no reason to give usf any extra exposure.....similar to what they said after 2008, when they had to go to OT to beat one of our worst teams.I would rather do a home and home with FAU. USF can go pound sand.
Agree, Eh.......that was back in the Day when Coach K said or implied we were better than every team in the MAC!Ahh, memories of the MAC flooding in lol.
Good to see we are starting to display our P5 self-worth. it's good to see we are starting to talk like a true power 5 team. Charge OnI don’t see how playing usf helps recruiting win or lose....it only serves to help them. Agree we need to play schools from our primary recruiting area (Fl, Ga, Al).....and soon Texas. A lot of us are just ready to move on from the heifers.
Oh and Alabama. It's too bad they didn't win in 2021. We would have let them keep the War on I4 trophy for their empty trophy case. Time to move on. Maybe we can do 2 for 1s in the future. I lived through the Genshafting and Jim Leavittating so I have hate in my heart and I let it out.All the 2 for 1 games they booked played a part in filling their schedule. Mixed feelings.I would rather do a home and home with FAU. USF can go pound sand.
Time to Add Marshall so we can whoop their azz again for good measureSo even with Kent State we still need another game in 2023?
I would take fiu/fau/miami. Miami is unlikely bc they scared. But anytime we can play a home and home and visit the real south florida its an opportunity to recruitMixed feelings.
The stadium in Tampa makes for a better tailgate / spectator experience and USF “should” be closer to our level so it’s made it even more enjoyable to beat them.
I am only slightly more emotionally invested in the FAU FIU games as I am our Bethune games.
I agree with this and given our sos will increase…we may need 1-2 cupcakes on the schedule to play our backups etcMohajir may be working w/USF in getting them on the books for a while. I'm ok w/this. Althought we've passed them going to a P5 league, I'd still want to play them annually...similiar to Colorado and Colorado State. Both schools realize fans want the game and the money generated.
Well, trading Miami for USF would be a diff story - they’ve played us before so I wouldn’t rule them out. Ended up being decent games tooI would take fiu/fau/miami. Miami is unlikely bc they scared. We should have beaten them both times but we had this oleary guy who would run it up the middle 60 times per gameWell, trading Miami for USF would be a diff story - they’ve played us before so I wouldn’t rule them out. Ended up being decent games too
While we're at it let's get Tulsa on the schedule for the next 10 years so we can chip away at their record against us.Time to Add Marshall so we can whoop their azz again for good measure
Nooooooooo. I’ll be happy to never see them again. While we're at it let's get Tulsa on the schedule for the next 10 years so we can chip away at their record against us.
I was sitting in the UM student section in '08. The only thing that would make me say that we should've won is that was a very weak Miami squad, all things considered. I think Travis Benjamin is probably the biggest name to come out of that team, on offense at least. UCF had more future NFL players on the field that day. But Calabrese had a 30% completion rate on 30+ attempts. They tried to throw but there was nothing doing. Was awesome to see Burnett redeem himself immediately after a muffed punt with the Kickoff return for a TD.We should have beaten them both times but we had this oleary guy who would run it up the middle 60 times per game
One of the better games.....niceBut Calabrese had a 30% completion rate on 30+ attempts.
Huh?We should have beaten them both times but we had this oleary guy who would run it up the middle 60 times per game
Let’s be done with Tulsa 😂Nooooooooo. I’ll be happy to never see them again.
