I was a student during K Smiths reign of terror.
I took my dad to the 2007 championship. He’d never really been bought in to Ucf football but Kevin smith won him over that season. He saw him rip off some long ass run at that championship and told me he’d never seen a guy run like that, he absolutely loved it. We had a complete blast that day. my dad died a few years later and we talked about that game often when he was sick - it was a great memory.
He’s always been a favorite alum of mine because his 2007 season gave me and my dad a really special afternoon to share for years after. Sucks that he would have just dipped out when his stock increased enough to go P5 but i guess that’s just reflective of UCF at that time vs UCF now.
