I realize that Key won't be fired midseason since he has compromising photos on george. But he can lose playcalling responsibilities. Say he sucks today then against Tulane, it will be clear that he is not a good oc. So what does george do? He calls Barrett up to be passing game coordinator/co offensive coordinator. Key loses power and becomes running game coordinator. This would help george as he will acknowledge his mistake and then satisfy all of us that want the cancer(key) removed from Ucf.

I think it's hard to point the finger at one person alone.
However, it's very depressing to see Boise St. beating Virginia
and being a perennial good team along with Memphis beating
CINN with their freshmen QB. All while we hover in
mediocracy during the good years except for one year
and embarrassment in years like this one.

While I typically agree, Key has been responsible for 3 major areas:recruiting, oline, and coordinating the offense.all three have failed this year. That is where a lot of the problems stem from.
That's like when I went to a high school game at Daytona Beach Seabreeze. Their nickname is the Sandcrabs. A banner spotted on their sideline said: "You can't play if you've got the Crabs!".
Let's face it. GOL is not a good coach. He succeeds and fails on great assistants. He gets credit for putting the coaching staff together but right now we have a substandard coaching staff that was thrown together. Time to clean house.
There can be a case made that charlie, summers, and Callahan had more to do with player development in the past couple of years than George
Isn't that the point of any staff. THEY are developing the players. How many players does Saban, Strong or anybody else actually coach. The coach runs the team and has his hands in everything but it is the others coaches, and the strength coach, that develop players. NOBODY is successful without good coaches besides the head coach. GOL is like any QB in the NFL. When the teams wins you're celebrated. When you lose everybody throws you under the bus.
O'Leary hand picked this staff. He hired Bresnahan, Key, and Travis Fisher(who should be thanking god that we are all harping on Key's terrible coaching cause he's been a goddamn disaster too.)
