Knighttime and CrazyAhole can’t comprehend that vaccines help stop severe illness, hospitalizations and death, because they are handymen

I said the data currently shows it reduces hospitalizations and severe China flu. Doesn't stop the transfer though which means the vaccine wasn't a miracle cure. Add the waning efficacy and let's see how it reacts in 12 months after vaccination.
How well it works: Experts continue to learn about Pfizer’s efficacy both in the laboratory and in the real world. Pfizer’s initial Phase 3 clinical data presented in December showed its vaccine to have 95% efficacy.

In April, the company announced the vaccine had 91.3% efficacy against COVID-19, based on measuring how well it prevented symptomatic COVID-19 infection seven days through up to six months after the second dose. It also found it to be 100% effective in preventing severe disease as defined by the CDC, and 95.3% effective in preventing severe disease as defined by the FDA. Another study, not yet peer-reviewed, provided more new data that brought the efficacy number down to 84% after 6 months, although efficacy against severe disease was 97%.

In August, the CDC also published studies that showed mRNA vaccine protection against infection may be waning, although the vaccines were still highly effective against hospitalization. In one CDC study, data from the state of New York showed vaccine effectiveness dropping from 91.7 to 79.8% against infection.

How well it works on virus mutations: A number of studies have focused on the vaccine and the mutations. In early May, the Pfizer vaccine was found to be more than 95% effective against severe disease or death from the Alpha variant (first detected in the United Kingdom) and the Beta variant (first identified in South Africa) in two studies based on real-world vaccinations.

As far as the Delta variant (first seen in India), two studies reported by Public Health England that have not yet been peer reviewed showed that full vaccination after two doses is 88% effective against symptomatic disease and 96% effective against hospitalization

The Vaccines reduce the likelihood of one getting the original virus, Delta somewhat less, It absolutely reduces the likelihood of serious sickness if you get it, It appears to do little to keep people from spreading it.

It is no doubt helpful in reducing the strain on hospitals and deaths, It may or may not be at all helpful in preventing the spread of the Fauci funded Wuhan flu.

^^^remember when this pest control expert/pool cleaner said everything done surrounding this virus was a failure?

What if I told you that you were wrong yet again?

The breakthrough infection rate is 1% or lower in most every database that is tracking these things. Here's a recent report from the Massachusetts Dept of Health

That's good for a .7% breakthrough infection rate against 4.8M people vaccinated. The breakthrough death rate is .005% which is statistically irrelevant. And this is a recent report which means this data represents exposure to Delta for months now, and yet this data remains extremely impressive.

We have a virus that is overflowing our hospitals with almost exclusively unvaccinated people - how then is this vaccine not a miracle cure? It literally all but guarantees that you won't get severely ill or die from COVID.

That Mass Report must be fake because we’ve heard many compelling personal accounts of breakthrough cases by posters here.*

This MUST be BS because Nautiknight has told us of FOUR vaxxed people he knows of who DIED within 48 hours of getting their shot.*

We have some absolute idiots on here who surf Twitter all day long, searching for anything to justify their insane ideologies.

It's been fun in the Dungeon watching every anti-vaxxer come with personal anecdote after personal anecdote that completely refutes every available set of data on vaccine effectiveness. It's weird and wacky stuff how anti-vaxxers just happen to know hordes of people dying from the vaccine, dying while vaccinated, going to the hospital while vaccinated, etc. They're privy to what's really going on!

At first glance, you’d think that 85, KnighttimeJoe, and I agreeing on anything would be an encouraging sign that our Right-Left political divide is finally shrinking. Unfortunately, you’d be wrong. The new divide is between the Twitter batsh!t crazies and everybody else.

Don’t forget me. I never thought of this as political and glad to see that all the sane people agree and are logical about this.
