Kyle Marsh never dreamed his college career would begin like this. The UCF baseball freshman hoped he'd simply have a chance to see the field early, but nobody could have predicted the impact he's made in the No. 15 Knights' 7-0 start.

Offensively, the Port Orange (Fla.) native leads the team in RBIs (13), doubles (four), walks (four) and is tied with Erik Barber in home runs (2) all the while hitting at an impressive .462 clip. His primary day job is playing second base, but he's also pitched a couple appearances of relief which included recording a key save in the 7-6 victory against Maryland last Saturday.

"I didn't really think of anything," Marsh said when asked of his own expectations. "I just wanted to come out and play hard. I got a chance to play the first couple games because of injuries, took my chances and went from there."
