They rightfully want schools to be safe and free from covid. Thats why they demand defunding the police, implementing a wealth tax, Medicare for all, and a federal bailout before they go back to work.

Start by taking the Officers that they placed there to defend against active shooters and putting them back on patrol. Then, with diminished resources and lack of protective equipment, tell them how much slower the response will be and how less effective it will be.

Good lord, so the shit that unions spew to their members is going to be taken as Gospel? Would you like to have a similar discussion of police violence based on the shit being spewed by many of the police union chiefs around the country?

During a time when all of the Right's arguments are being thrown back in their faces for being utterly ridiculous, I guess it shouldn't come as any surprise that their response is to try and find the most radical voices to be found to use as a strawman.

Some of you may find this hard to believe, but more than a few of us "libs" here on the board consider ourselves Right-leaning moderates. I would describe myself as a fiscal conservative (something neither political party actually supports anymore) and a social progressive.

It's just that when so many of the voices here are far-right wack-jobs, we come off sounding like flaming socialists by comparison.
