Fűck! My travel picks back up next week (after the EOY/BOY lull) and I'm not looking forward to it.
i recall trump offering a couple compromises. actually didnt he offer one compromise at 4:05 while nancy rejected it at 4:00. how could she have already rejected it before it was released? where are her list of compromises shes willing to make?
Trump is holding the Government workers hostage. Until he opens the Government back up, nothing he says means a damn thing and Nancy knows it.
It wasn't really a compromise. It didn't offer anything at all.
Just give him the $5 billion in funding for the wall. Everyone wanted it 5 years ago.

i know chuck/nancy said numerous times recently no wall. of course you go back just a couple years ago and they wanted it. i havent see anything from chuck/nancy about the daca stuff.
The truth is that the wall is never going to get done because Trump is the worst deal maker in the history of the office.
He has yet to negotiate a single deal that is significantly better that what we had.

the wall debate aside, trumps newest deals with china are a lot better than before. usmca is marginally better than nafta, but the best part is the requirement to renegotiate every couple of years. these arent opinions, they are facts.

we are still negotiating a full deal, but the temp deal we have now is better than before. the full deal will likely be even better. im sure youll stick your head in the sand and declare trump a bad deal maker when it finally comes out though.
The temp 'deal'??!?!? Trump threatened Congress he would close down the Government if he didn't get his wall. He didn't get a deal so he closed the Government down. When it became apparent, that his bully tactic was only making people more pissed off at him, he backed off.

that comment was about tarriffs and a new china trade deal and not about the current shutdown/wall deal. ive seen a couple reports from both sides that say a new trade deal will come about shortly and it will be better. we will have to wait to really see if he can get a better deal.
as far as the wall, trump did cave a little bit on the shutdown. i think it hurts his position a little bit. however it does show the american people he doesnt want to hurt the workers while he attempts to work another deal over the next month. isnt that what everyone wanted?
i dont think hes going to let another shutdown happen. i think he will just use emergency power and have the military build it. i dont really want to see that happen, but thats my guess.
Yeah, he'll do it unilaterally without Congress because he's an awful dealmaker. He has made 0 substantial deals in the last 2 years and you all were dumb enough to believe the reality tv hype. If you include the negotiated deals that he blew up he's like -4 on deals.
