Any of you guys and gals > 40 years old must remember this. The old school ice cream trucks would buzz around the neighborhood with music blaring from a PA system.

I hadn't seen one of them in over 20 years, but I heard the familiar electronic music interspersed with a "hi there". It was like the Pied Piper playing his magic flute . A line of kids later, and the ice cream man says "that will be $20".

Man, going old school. Dude probably got furloughed and saw an opportunity with all the kids sitting at home. I like it.

There is a town about 30 miles from where I live that has one. Occasionally he'll go around to surrounding towns so I see him every couple of years. It's pretty fun to see how kids have no idea what he is doing.

Funny, just heard/saw one in the neighborhood last week and it almost brought tears to my eyes. I've also seen kids riding their bikes and going up to the the playground and playing on the swings with no adult supervision. Loving it out here.

BK! Funny you would mention this! Yesterday, right outside of Clermont Florida, I passed an Old Fashioned MR. SOFTY truck! Man...brought back memories. It was like a 1960 Ice cream truck.
