Openly left leaning news agencies such as CNN, ABC, NBC, NYT, Bloomberg are considered by some to be legitimate. OTOH, openly or not openly right leaning news agencies are immediately dismissed out of hand. WSJ is generally considered non-biased but IBD isn't, depending on the article.

Whats with the double standard?

WSJ has always been right of center, but is one I still consider legitimate. CNN is clickbait.

The problems occur when ppl start linking op-ed and opinion pieces from either as fact.

No double standard. Fox is literal garbage, making up shit like the kneeling Philly eagles and the Obama vs Trump on meeting with Norks. Not to mention still employing sean hannity, who never once decided to mention that Cohen was representing him while daily railing against the investigation, violating every single journalistic ethic out there. CNN/NBC etc are biased, but not nearly as bad as Fox. They don't usually just make up shit, more like click bait.

So there's not a double standard. Evidently people who enjoy right wing news are just more gullible, and the news sources exploit that. Why else are there millions of weekly listeners to Alex Jones and Fox is allowed to have the word "News" in their name?

It seems to me like due to the fact that Foxnews employs guys like Hannity all reporting from them is biased. OTOH, the supposed no partisan reporting from NYT isn't measured in the same way.

The NYTimes has always leaned left. If people don’t know that, that’s on them.

I've never considered NYT non partisan. Who would think that?

I'm pretty equally xenophobic toward all people. I consider myself a legitimate news source as I have no agenda or any real plan in place. I don't lean to the left or right, but I hang slightly leftward with an indetactable bend back to the right, ladies.

You're right outside of Hannity Fox is right down the middle. Oh and Fox and Friends. And I almost forgot Tucker, shoot I forgot Pirro. Oh and we can't leave out Laura Ingram.

Outside of those dozen people it's basically fair.
