Let's be honest, if we were 2-4 or 3-3 we wouldn't be having this convo

I think we all can admit that with all our injuries the best we could have hoped for is 4-2 but realistically 2-4 or 3-3 is what we should have expected.

FIU W
Furman W
Stanford L
USC L
Tulane W/L
UConn W/L

And let's be real here, FIU and Furman came down to play calling. So 2-4 instead of 0-6 is where we should be sitting and I'd be okay with that given our circumstances.

I agree. It's also why I believe we will see a major improvement next year... then again I am more of a half full type of guy.

Anything less than 4-2 at this point and I'd still be calling for his firing. He's had over 11 years and over $20 million to build a consistent team that should dominate the AAC bottom feeders. Zero excuses. The longer Hitt waits the more I question his leadership.

A down year for UCF facing this schedule a decade into a head coaching regime would be 3-6 wins, in my estimation. No way you lose to FIU and Furman at home. No way you get blown off the field by bad Tulane and UCONN teams. Certainly no way you do all four of those things in one season. Pitiful performance.

Dream on! With those on here, any more losses than 1 (Stanford) we'd be having the same whining. "How in the world could we lose to S Carolina when they're so bad the coach quits." would be a direct quote from a majority of whiners.

Bingo! The delusional fans would have been calling for his head if we lost to not both Stanford or South Carolina, but to either or, while also winning all of the rest. Nothing this man can do to change opinions of people who want him out. When he wins, they are quiet. At the first sign of trouble they come flocking!

Ok, so on the flipside at what point will you complain. Seems like 0-12 season has been accepted by some if not most of those that still support GOL. Is it truly acceptable if the team finishes 0-12? Factor in the impact of that record on this year's recruiting class.

What was the score at halftime against SC? Who looked like the dominant team? You bet your fukcing ass we should've beaten them easily. Then Spurier took over play calling at halftime and our defensive coordinator couldn't hang with a 70 year old guy who retired because he feels he can't do the job anymore.

You huggers twist reality, that's the problem. I mean, what kind of shitty fans are we that we want our team to win all the time, right?

I'm not defending GOL whatsoever but with injuries including your starting quarterback, you can't expect to beat a "bad" team on the road. Seriously doubt we have 5 TOs @ Tulane with Holman at the helm. In regards to UCONN, you are right, there is no reason to lose at home to a team like that with Holman back.

If my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle...

IF UCF had the team to beat FIU, Furman, and UCONN/Tulane, they'd be a different team.

I'd be totally content with a down year. This is not a down year. This is a cluster-**** that was neatly hidden behind a curtain in the offseason. On opening night we all witness just how bad it was and that has been reinforced week after week. This wouldn't be a bowl eligible team if they playing in the Sunbelt. This team wouldn't make the FCS playoffs... hell this team might not have a winning record in FCS. This is not a slightly down season that has been distorted to look worse by some bad bounces... this team is terrible and the recruiting outlook right now doesn't look like it offers any answers... or hope.

I would be having this conversation. It's been time to move on for awhile if we're going to go beyond the AAC anytime soon. We're rarely/never one of those teams that wins and wins big. We get by sometimes. Move on UCF.

That's why I call 2015 the "Anti-GoL Wet Dream." They have gotten everything they wanted ... and more!

To top it off, they've managed to bash our kids recruited at the same time -- the ones who have barely been playing yet, and won't be at their full potential for another 2 years -- all while ignoring what ESPN and Rivals have said about them.

Nice spin job from the hugger crowd. Fact is, your hipothetical situation didn't happen. We DID lose to FIU, we DID lose to Furman, we DID lose to Tulane, and we DID lose to UCONN. That is what is unacceptable, and unbelievable that anyone would give him a pass.
No one is "giving him a pass."

But you don't fire coaches for 6 losses after 3 straight seasons like we've had. You give him until into next year to clean it up, before you judge he cannot right the ship.

And how does that make us different than Cincy, USF, an Uconn who had and have more $$ to work with. ECU who is equal in building, Houston who has bigger market and is spending, Or SMU who has more $$$ than God to work with. The top 1/2 of this conf has just about equal stuff to sell as we do.

Really? How many of those schools can say "do you want to live in Orlando, you know, the place the world comes to vacation?"

As long as we have good facilities we have the advantage over every team in the conference simply due to our location. We just haven't had a coaching staff to capitalize on it.

We just need a coach that will build momentum instead of kill it. I bet we could average 50,000 with perrenial 8-4 seasons with the right coach.

That's all we're saying. Be competitive all the time. ALL THE FUKCING TIME!!!! That doesn't mean win a conference championship every year, it means beat P5 opponents and go to a bowl game. Winning solves everything.

Momentum and attendance matters more than CUSA trophies.

OP: "Let's be honest, if we were 2-4 or 3-3 we wouldn't be having this convo"

And if I had a 13 inch willie I'd be doing gay porn, so what's your point??

You GOL lovers are really pathetic. We are NOT 2-4 so the whole argument is moot. Talk about a "straw man" argument.
