Cincinnati coach Luke Fickell has agreed to a new contract through 2028 that will pay him $5 million per year, and the school is expected to up the football staff salary pool.

luke fickell just took cincy to the playoffs and has won a lot in the past 4 seasons. gus will get that kind of money when gus delivers those kind of results (doesn't have to be playoffs, but top 10 finishes).

If we have a good year I see him getting an increase going into the BIG 12. You want to be comparable to your new conference mates. In the American he is still paid pretty decent.

I'm not sure and your right about T-Will but he might be a HC in the future. Just saying on paper you don't want to be in the BIG12 with the lowest paid coach (course IDK that pay scale).

Bodes well for the move to the Big 12….that is consistent, in-place coaches and staffs. I think all 4 new teams have that right now.

Well our X D Coordinator was making 1 million a year. I think that is reasonable to get TWILL to stay. Also Gus at 5 million is cheap now a days...by 2025 this should be his salary

No because he asked all to wait after their game...Many didn't wait and picked coach ahead of ball game...only 1 waited till after Cincinnati ball game...Many lost a good coach...Cincinnati came up on top.

Good question. The general rumor is he would not leave until after their season ended. Of course I don't know if that's true but it's what most Cincy fans believe.

They have a pretty active forum on 247. Think I've been lurking there since the summer and it's good to see their perspective.

T-Will should get a raise this spring. Not sure what he is making now, but it should be $750K minimum to hold him over until we get B12 money.

Gus should get a raise in 2023, our first year in the B12, to about $4 million per year, or the average of all B12 head coaches, whichever is higher. Put in some significant bonuses for conference championship, playoff appearance, etc.
