There were a few times when I questioned play calling and philosophy. You are a run heavy offense, you get to the red zone and it's 3 low percentage passes. But there were some good calls too, the roll back pass that was out at the 2 but called back for a holding, that was a hell of call, just lousy execution. You get that early in the season. I would have pulled JRP and put TC in for a series. Let JRP see the game from the side for a bit. We are not Georgia. We haven't recruited the best OL and it showed. We have some guys up front that are going to take some time to jell. He tried to stick to what he thought we could do best, but the execution wasn't there. Some of the draw plays worked well early. So he went with that later in the game. Don't see how you can fault him for those calls. If he is going to leave JRP in the whole way, would have liked to have seen more QB counter calls. When it hits, with a guy like Plumlee, it can be a house call from anywhere on the field.
The unsportsmanlike penalty after the fumble. Really? Do you really need to prove your manhood? I get sticking up for your teammate, but by shoving a guy in the back? Was it worth 15 yards? Stuff like that I put on the players. Its one thing to get in a guys face and tell him what's what, it is another thing to get a 15 yard penalty and punish the whole team.
