UCF will probably play in a few of these in the coming years:

Tuesday, December 28
AutoZone Liberty Bowl, Memphis, Tenn.
Texas Tech (only 3-6 in conf play, 6-6)) vs. Mississippi State (ESPN), 5:45 p.m
Note: Not a great date. Still post Christmas Bowl Game so many people would be off work that week. I liked it when Liberty Bowl was on NYE.

Tuesday, December 28
Guaranteed Rate Bowl, Phoenix, Ariz.
West Virginia (4-5, 6-6) vs. Minnesota (ESPN), 9:15 p.m.
Note: Played in the Baseball Stadium/Dome in PHX. Not good for football

Wednesday, December 29
Cheez-It Bowl, Orlando, Fla.
Iowa State (5-4, 7-5) vs. Clemson (ESPN), 4:45 p.m
Note: Some might complain about late afternoon weekday kickoff

Wednesday, December 29
Valero Alamo Bowl, San Antonio, Texas
No. 16 Oklahoma (7-2, 10-2) vs. No. 14 Oregon (ESPN), 8:15 p.m.
Note: Maybe best "destination" of all Big 12 Bows. Would be awesome to see 10,000 plus Knight Fans takeover the Riverwalk. Game played inside the Alamo Bowl guarantees perfect weather for game.

Saturday, January 1
PlayStation Fiesta Bowl
No. 9 Oklahoma St (8-1, 11-2) vs. No. 5 Notre Dame (ESPN), Noon
Note: With UCF already playing in that NYD6/BCS Bowl game twice, not sure how many would make a trip for a 3rd match-up in a non-CFP game.

Saturday, January 1
Allstate Sugar Bowl, New Orleans, Louisiana
No. 7 Baylor (7-2, 11-2, Conf Champ) vs. No. 8 Ole Miss (ESPN), 7:45 p.m
Note: Outside of the Orange Bowl, if this is a non-CFP Bowl Game, I still think Knight Nation would show up in huge numbers to party in New Orleans for this game.

Tuesday, January 4
TaxAct Texas Bowl, Houston, Texas
K-State (4-5, 7-4) vs. LSU (ESPN), 8 p.m
Note: Maybe worst date for a bowl game as most people are back at work and not sure how many would travel for a lower level bowl game in Houston. Game is inside the Texans Stadium so weather wouldn't be a problem buy small crowds may not be much of a fun atmosphere.

3 of the 7 bowling teams had losing conf records but recovered to be eligible with mostly easy non-conf schedules.

With expanding the conf from 10 teams to 12 teams, wonder if the bowl looks to add new potential bowls to their lineup (even though ESPN is opening up more bowl options to various conferences to provide more variety).

Only Big 12 teams not going bowling this year:
Texas (3-6, 5-7)
TCU (3-6, 5-7)
Kansas (1-8, 2-10)
