I hear about friends losing their cell phones every other month, it seems. I've never so much as misplaced any of mine.

How have you guys lost a cell phone? Short of a random emergency ( like a building fire ) I don't even know how it's possible to lose one.

I never have lost one. I think most people that lose them are either drunks or just have a tendency to set their stuff down in random locations because they hate crap in their pockets. They are probably the same people that misplace their keys constantly.

I'm gonna go on a hunch here, but to me, it feels like you wanna say 'women' but never quite get there.

Actually, it never even crossed my mind. It was probably a subconscious thing for you - when you originally asked the question, instead of saying "I hear about friends", you should have just said, "I hear about women".

Anyway, not to change the topic but I used to have a co-worker that used to leave his keys everywhere. It got to the point that whenever I found his keys lying somewhere, I'd screw with him and move his car to a different parking spot and put his keys back where he left them. It was always amusing.

Effer has a tendency to break phone or drop them into deep water. After her most recent loss (off the roof of the car), she went out and bought the most fragile phone on the market at the time, the S6 Edge. The screen was cracked within 3 weeks.

I listen to music at the gym via wireless Bluetooth headphones and frequently return to the last known spot where I left my phone. I have been lucky so far. Nobody walked away with it.

Only one I've ever lost was in the back of a cab while wasted in Vegas.

The only time I have lost a cell phone is when it fell out of my pocket on The Mummy ride at Universal. They found it and called me a day later, right before I left the house to go replace it.

Never lost a phone. I'm either using it, charging it, or it's in my pocket.

On a related note, one of my co-workers lost his car the other day at the office.

Never lost a phone.

I have a HTC M8 wouldn't mind losing it. Pretty sure the contract expires around December & off to eBay so someone can enjoy a mediocre smartphone.

Lost mine at an UCF game, it somehow fell off my pocket. When I called, somebody answered and wanted money to give it back. Said he was driving to Tampa and was to throw it out the window unless I gave him money. I said good luck, went to the store and got a new SIM card.
Hope it wasn't an UCF alum

I never said I don't occasionally destroy my phones.
I heard you are not that smart and once jumped from a canoe into the water with your phone in your pocket. You should buy phone insurance or a bullet-proof case

That was Effer. I've always had insurance though until recently when AT&T tried to con me into their Next program BS. It's been a 5-6 years since I badly damaged a phone. I got a phone a little wet a couple years ago and it wouldn't charge right but that's about the only thing I've done.

Dang, what a dick move. Was it at the USF game and it could've been a USF fan? Not saying I expect that of my brethren but rivalries do make tensions run high...

Doesn't 85 live in Tampa?

I do misplace my phone, keys and wallet at home. In fact, I have the Tile app and tracking device that can find my phone, keys and wallet anywhere I've ever been. If I drop my wallet at publix in some aisle, I can find it. Same with keys or phone. My phone gets misplaced in the house a lot. Same with my wife's phone.

It will be. Give it time.
If we all do our part, it will be sooner than later ;)
