I've talked about how I meet with a monsignor from the catholic church on here a few times. He died this afternoon from cancer. Truly a remarkable guy. Grew up in a small town in southeast Nebraska and went on to be, among other things, the Vatican representative to the UN and served directly under Pope Benedict in Rome. He was the kind of guy that would challenge you so a lot of people thought he was an asshole, but if you would push back a little bit you could see his intentions were pure.
