One thing we have to realize is that a lot of these rumors like Kliff Kingsbury to Oklahoma and this one about Brian Kelly is that they are put out there by the agents of these coaches in order to create leverage for a lucrative contract extension with their current team.

He's the winningest coach in ND history, plus with the expanded playoffs a1 or 2 loss ND team is easily still in the playoff with their schedule compared to LSU going through the SEC.
LSU can be a top program in the SEC but this year shows sometimes its hard even for the established teams
And gets smoked in the playoff/bcs by said sec teams. They don’t get in on talent just brand.
In two years time we will look back on this as a disaster of a hire for LSU.

its better to have a guaranteed spot for your dainty catholic brand because you're ND, than be Florida, LSU, Texas AM, Georgia, Texas, Auburn, Oklahoma, Ole Miss trying to get those extra At Large bids

Kelly has 100 million guaranteed reasons to go to LSU. Also, all three of the last LSU coaches have won a Natty.
Yea good point. You hardly see pro head coaches move voluntarily as every team is effectively the same but in college you do have inherent advantages to particular schools.

What Kelly has done at ND is pretty remarkable. Everybody points to their history, but it isn't the easiest place to go and win at a high clip due to admission standards, plus they don't pay their coaches anywhere near what other premier schools do. I could see them falling into another decade+ long slump.
Fickle is now in a weird spot due to the Dec 15 signing day. Does he pull a Frost and leave but still coach while wearing and recruiting for another team at that time? That would be weird especially if they are in the playoffs...but ND will act quick and not wait until after New Years.

yea I read somewhere that because its private they dont have to show the numbers but a ND guy said it was somewhere between the 3.5-5 mill range. Hardly premiere money, maybe the next coach gets a raise
I saw a tweet saying Marcus Freeman was going to be NDs new HC. Seems like too many unknowns but I feel the same way about Billy Napier. Could be bogus too.
I feel like Fickell may get the ND job and then Freeman gets the Cincy job
Either way, I'm very high on Freeman and think he'll be a great coach.
To me, for ND, it comes down to the 2 of them. Nothing else really makes sense.
Cincy fans on their 247 forum are more and more confident LF is staying at UC. This is mostly based on their belief that ND is promoting Freeman to HC.
I think they wanted to do a show from UCF in 2017 after the Peach Bowl and DW denied it....
His dad hasn't been on in years outside of them calling him for 2 minutes every other month and using his voice for effects.
The show now with Witty, Jessica, Billy, Chris and Mike along with Stu/Dan is really clicking lately

I listened before he started going on ESPN when he was in Miami. Then I started listening to satellite radio and stopped over the air radio. Saw them on ESPN when flipping through just don’t like that style.
Disagree. Andrew should manage the Knightline network but leave the commentating to other folks.
Have the big boys ever thrown their weight around this much at one time before? I can see why they don't care about Toledo and NIU complaining about equity in the playoffs. The air is different, the commitment is different.
ND has had 5 straight 10 win seasons and play almost entirely Power 5 schools. Put the sour grapes down. They are good. They aren't Bama or Clemson, but who else is? They got blown out by in the CFP...by Bama and Clemson. Both went on to win the NC. Go look at all the CFP games. Most of them are blowouts, which is a whole other subject.
Anyone can hate ND if they want, but saying they aren't good or overrated(whatever that even means) is juts not backed up by any facts.
