Why? Game 1. LSU doesn’t fumble two punts, they win. It’s that easy. That’s not on Kelly. Their new QB looked awful in the first half, and looked so different down the stretch I thought they put a different QB in. Kudos to FSU, they never quit and picked up the win. FSU has a much easier path going forward (based on week 1 ACC results). A game like that should make LSU “grow up” quicker as well. It had “big game” atmosphere this early in the season. Bad coaching decisions persist, though, as Norvell didn’t take the free 3 points LSU wanted to hand them at the end of the first half. Their shouldn’t have even been any drama.
Not sure if serious....will assume not unless you don't think the HC is in charge of the whole team. One muff, OK it happens. One blocked kick, not as understandable but it happens. Two each of these in a single game is a HC error. The way he mismanaged the time clock and looked like a lost puppy at the same time? Yikes....
He was playing the, its not my team card, when being interviewed at half. Said they couldn’t possibly play worse in 2nd half. Then said maybe they could. Hes new here and doesn’t know
Can’t be that easy….amazingly, but not surprisingly, FSU scored ZERO points off those two fumbles. So in terms of scoring they had absolutely no affect on the outcome of the game.
Should of had 6 points. Turnover on downs and a fumble. At the 8 and 1 yardline. FSU had the ball 9 times compared to LSU 8. FSU TOP 34 minutes to 25 for LSU. Without the fumbles LSU has 10 possessions and FSU 7. TOP becomes even at least. It affected the game whether FSU scored or not. It kept LSU from scoring more.
I don't know. If you muff a punt and then the other team turns it over 2 plays later after gaining 8 yards, that's as pretty close to a wash as anything in football.
