Anyone else see this flick?

I saw this movie last night. I don't usually spend money to see a movie at the theater. However, I was a huge fan of what George Miller did with the original movies when I was a kid and this seemed like a perfect movie to see in the theater (visually impressive and loud). It did not disappoint. There was so much depth to the characters, especially considering the minimal narrative and dialogue. The world that Miller created was stellar. The vehicles and weapons used weren't cheesy and seemed to have their own history.

Tom Hardy was the perfect choice for Mad max. His performance in Bronson let me know that he could carry this role with the grittiness and dark humor it required. I have a hard time thinking of another actor that could portray Max as well as he did. Needless to say, I was very impressed with the film and highly recommend it.

Took my kid yesterday. My only complaint is that Max didn't feel like the central figure after the first 10 minutes. They also had plenty of opportunity to earn it's R rating with some nekkid women and ruined it. Btw, it should have been rated PG-13. More violence on Walking Dead.

What about the milking women? That right there was like 10 boobies.

I'm hoping the next installment has more backstory and a more prominent role for Hardy.
