Magic trade at deadline for Bol Bol (injured) so why not Tacko

The key part of the deal is CASH. Magic have up nothing and will waive Bol and Dozier and all they out is a 2nd round pick.

They've already waived Dozier and Bol, after being considered a top draft possibility a couple of years ago, has been injured (foot problems and those seldom get fixed on 7'2" guys) so he's probably next. So yep, it's for Cash....that'll improve the team with the worst record in the NBA, right? What a joke....

Salary cap move was all it was. 2nd round pick will be trash. They are just trying to do what Philly and Cavs did. Suck every year until top picks get good and then make meaningful trades.

Magic get Bol Bol, PJ Dozier (both injured/out for the season) a 2nd rounder and Cash at deadline for a 2nd Rounder....basically nothing plus cash for nothing....come on Magic, give Tacko a chance
This is Magic mgmt in a nutshell. Should show up at their HQ and tell them you’ll work for half the GMs current wage to make bad decisions.

I checked out all of Orlando’s draft picks since the franchise started. When they have like a top 5 pick they have almost always picked players that turned out to be good talent and have longevity (didn’t always stay in Orlando). Then…..for like the other 67 draft picks there were only 2 players that panned out to be good, solid veterans. That kind of track record is abysmal. Basically, a group of hardcore NBA fans would have done as well as mgmt has done.

Yep...probably better

I haven't watched the Tragic for years. Never been much of an NBA fan, but I did follow them back in the early days.

You can do that with any team. The Cavs picked Andrew Wiggins and some clown named Bennet in top 10. Bennett was out of league in 2 years and Wiggins had his best year this year. About 6 years after leaving Cleveland. After pick 15 the chances of getting a great player drops. 2nd round guys rarely stay in League very long.

It's worked out pretty well for the Miami Heat...heck, they don't even need lottery picks....

Whiteside, Josh Richardson, Tyler Johnson, Rodney McGruder, Nunn, Duncan Robinson and now Max Strus.

they know player development and have a scouting team with some mass between their ears.

Oh and competant ownership and a winning culture....something the Magic has never had and prolly never will.

If the team has been able to bring Fall back to Orlando, and gotten Jordan Bell from the G League, the Magic could've had Tacko Bell for the rest of the season.
