Major US Twitter accounts hacked in Bitcoin scam. Billionaires Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates are among several high-profile individuals targeted by hackers on Twitter in an apparent Bitcoin scam. The official accounts of Barack Obama, Joe Biden and Kanye West also requested donations in the cryptocurrency.

Good thing these hackers are more greedy than destructive. Imagine if the Cheeto-in-Chief had his Twitter account hacked. Assuming if the hackers could dumb down their tweets enough so that people would believe it was actually him, they could start a thermonuclear war.

They caught the kid who did this. 17 years old. He was smart enough to spear phish the accounts of some of the biggest names alive today yet dumb enough to tie his BTC wallet to his public profile on coinbase. Fishy as hell.

Good thing he was motivated by greed and not terror, or we could just as easily be in the middle of ww3.

Thank god Trump is smart enough to not fall for the antics of a 17 year old, unlike Biden.
