Manafort previously worked for Russian Billionaire

RUSSIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keywords - "secret", "former", "decade ago".

It's not a good look, but he was essentially a lobbyist. Every country has them in some form as they push to get their industries an advantage. I don't agree with the practice but that's what happens in our current system.

The big issue is it not being disclosed and transparent.

In 2005, Ace that was 12 years ago. In the past 12 years I have consulted for companies in 8 different countries. Not saying what he did may or may not have been wrong, he did not disclose it. Saying one worked for a Russian 12 years ago is not a big deal to anyone that works on an international level.

wasn't he fired for Kelly Anne? even though he was off the team during the homestretch Trump surrounded himself with some shady people that all have one thing in common

He literally worked and lobbied to crush anti-Russian opposition in former soviet countries. That is nothing like working to secure oil deals or anything else dealing with business.

He worked against democracy. And this is the man the President hired to lead his campaign. It's not normal. So stop trying to spin it.

Seriously? Manafort was campaign manager for less than six months. Funny, I bet you were never cornered about all those shady people doing business with the Clinton Foundation.

The last two paragraphs of this article are interesting:

"Manafort's work with Deripaska continued for years, though they had a falling out laid bare in 2014 in a Cayman Islands bankruptcy court. The billionaire gave Manafort nearly $19 million to invest in a Ukrainian TV company called Black Sea Cable, according to legal filings by Deripaska's representatives. It said that after taking the money, Manafort and his associates stopped responding to Deripaska's queries about how the funds had been used.

Early in the 2016 presidential campaign, Deripaska's representatives openly accused Manafort of fraud and pledged to recover the money from him. After Trump earned the nomination, Deripaska's representatives said they would no longer discuss the case
."

Why did they go silent? Was there an arrangement made?

It's pretty obvious Trump made a deal to sell Russia 20% of our uranium oh wait...

It's hilarious. Every time the response is the same - strawman, strawman, strawman. Never mind that what's wrong is wrong. Nope - let's go attack something else. And in this case, it's not even correct. Yet another GOP talking point that's really a giant exaggeration of the truth. HRC did not sell the Russians 20% of the US uranium.

You could just as easily said GWB sold Belgium 50% of the US beer, or UAE was going to control all the shipping ports with the Dubai Ports deal, if that's your logic.

If only snopes had remained as impartial as they started.

Hey Ace, were you this upset when you found out that John Podesta, Hillary's campaign manager was on a board of a Russian Company founded by Putin. Were you that upset when Podesta failed to disclose this information while working for the White House? I'm guessing you never knew, funny how that works.

Yea, except one is fuking BEER and the other is a main ingredient needed to produce nuclear weapons.

One of which is regulated by the State Dept, the other of which is not.

You seem to be under the impression I'm a Hillary Clinton supporter. Let me clear it up for you. I'm not. I voted for her begrudgingly because my alternative was Donald f$@king Trump. Kasich should be President right now.

Uranium is not regulated by the State Dept., but rather the Dept. Of Energy. The uranium merger deal that so many folks exaggerate was approved by the nine cabinet members, not just State, and dozens of others including independent nuclear regulators, and even so, the company is merely an operator and they don't have license to export the material. The market for the uranium mined by Uranium One from its US facility is still the US, not to mention that the US still imports most of its uranium anyway as we don't really mine all that much domestically.

I thought the Uranium One deal was an issue, not because of the sale, but because of donations to the Clinton Foundation by those who directly benefitted. Pay to play or conflict of interest type situation. I haven't done a lot of research on the topic so I could be completely off-base.

Yes, in that regard, the pay to play is the real issue, but even there, most of the donations were years ahead of the merger. Sure it could have been setting the table, but again, State was only one of a number of agencies that had to approve.

Well it shows the complete bias of the media and why I'm not taking any of this Russia crap sriously. It's just a leftist distraction.
