The Washington Attorney General has brought charges against 2 officers in the March 3, 2020 death of Manuel Ellis. Circumstances were similar to George Floyd as Ellis was found to have meth in his system and the cause of death was hypoxia due to restraint. Of note, there is only a grainy video of the arrest.

I have no idea if this was a bad arrest and murder or not with the little amount of evidence or even press coverage that we have. I do know that it proves that police officers can get charged without there being a decent video of the incident all over everywhere.

Eyewitness accounts were a bunch of liars with the criminal in St Louis. I'm just asking. Usually more to these stories.
Funny how eyewitness accounts aren't what they used to be when the eyewitnesses are people of color.

Once upon a time, they used to mean everything back when they were the under oath testimonies of white women and men who fingered a black man who said he didn't do it. Fast forward 20 years and -- Holy Moley -- DNA evidence agreed with him.

I guess you didn't pay attention to Michael Brown
Funny how the standard line from our Usual Suspects when it's White Cop/Black Victim crimes are:
  • The video we saw didn't tell the whole story; or
  • The eyewitnesses were all lying; or
  • The victim deserved it; or
  • I'm sure there's more to the story than we know.

Regardless of race, those are questions that should always be meted out before charges are filed.

I do care if a violent felon tries to take a weapon from a cop then the fake news try to portray it as an unarmed guy.
1. Ellis wasn't a violent felon. 2. According to eyewitnesses, he wasn't resisting arrest. 3. Ellis' last words -- recorded by a home security camera -- was "I can't breathe, Sir."

Hell just let it play out. I have no real knowledge on this case nor does anyone else here. That is why we have courts.
