Apparently alot of outrage over his comments about Serena Williams not being the best Tennis player. Saw a segment on ESPN at lunch and thought it was crazy. She's easily the best womens player ever, but if you are going to compare her to men, she doesnt come close. Its simply not fair to compare men to women, that is why we have different divisions.

I like that ESPN completely ignored the fact that he was responding to questions that were intended to get this response. They were loaded questions from the beginning and he answered them honestly. He's right. I'm not even sure how well Williams would even do in a college tournament against men. Besides even past his prime Mac was a hell of an athlete, and could beat Serena, like in this news clip:

And let's not forget that Serena herself practically said the same thing only a few years back:

When interviewed on 'Late Night with David Letterman' four years ago, she said: 'If I were to to play Andy Murray, I would lose 6-0, 6-0 in five to six minutes, maybe ten minutes. No, it's true. It's a completely different sport.

'The men are a lot faster and they serve harder, they hit harder. It's just a different game. I love to play women's tennis. I only want to play girls, because I don't want to be embarrassed.'

You're right, not too shabby. But all of that losing (against the men) apparently took its toll on her mentally. Once she got to the LPGA, her opponents never feared her because the weak part of her game had already been exposed by the guys.
