On yesterday's Dari & Mel ESPN Radio Show Mel Kiper talk extensively about this year's WR's class and the importance of that position (especially compared to 8-10 years ago).
With more teams going to short passing games (i.e. New Orleans, New England, Denver, etc...), WR's are getting their hands on the ball much more per possession and are becoming that much more important to team's offenses today.
Not sure if it would be a record, but Mel said 8 WR's could/would go in the 1st round in this week's draft and has Perriman at #4.
