Justin Fuente sees a completely different mindset in the Memphis program, but it’s not something that happened overnight, and he doesn’t want to change what got them there.

It’s been really good for us, obviously,” he said. “The first thing is obvious, and it’s no longer selling just a dream. There is tangible evidence that what we’re doing here is working. Kids can see that. We’ve gotten a real commitment from our president to build this football program. Whether it’s building facilities — we’re in the midst of a $20-million indoor facility with new offices, a players lounge and all those things — what the city’s done with the Liberty Bowl, a new video board and luxury boxes, there are a lot of things to sell here. Winning certainly helps.
