Dawkins in the B12 is gonna be so out coached that we will be pitied. Can foresee us down by 20 in almost all our games next year and the opponent is like… damn their coach is an idiot and their team sucks… lets just dribble out the shot clock
It is difficult to be as average as the Basketball team is when you have a potential lottery pick as a starter
One of the big problems is that we depend on the portal. These guys come from other schools trying to make a name for themselves at UCF as opposed to winning games. R homegrown talent is good when you consider r point guard n leading scorer were both recruited as freshman at Ucf. The problem is the guys we bring in from other schools, which unfortunately is a necessity, come to try to selfishly make a name for themselves as they shoot for points as opposed to percentage and help the team win.

Yep. Lack of continuity from one year to the next. These are the kinds of games that make a team better in the future. That same team (or mostly same team) will figure out a way to win more of them than lose next season. Unfortunately, we have like 8/9 new guys this year, and the same thing is going to happen next year as well so the team won’t “learn” from it.
This is no excuse for losing. All teams face the same problems yet some of them consistently. We have a coaching problem and Dawkins needs to be replaced. When and with who is the question.
Memphis has 4 guys starting that just joined the team this year, Cincinnati has multiple starters that just joined the team.
The only time Dawkins has shown he can win is when he had almost an entire lineup of 4 year starters, his 23 year old son, and one of the tallest players ever to play college basketball. Pretty much any coach can have success with that.
As long as our basketball budget is at the bottom of the conference our wins/loss record will be at the bottom. If UCF wants to be competitive in basketball then we must raise the budget to be near the top in the conference. Until then, these are the result we will get year in and year out.

He's got a borderline FIRST ROUND draft pick on his team. As others have mentioned, we should be better than 6-8 in this weak conference (barely ranked 9th) according to Warren or whatever the site is called.
Apparently as pointed out, the budget of the team is lower. So just be happy with 6th place finishes.
Great news for Malzahn, UCF budget will be lower than most in B12, so he just has to finish middle of the pack to get praise.

Couldn't agree more. They use to feed the ball inside but now we are a 1 pass 3 point team with bad rebounding. You are right 100%
