Metal-fans, Malthus has released two tracks from upcoming album.

Not a big black metal guy so I liked song 2 better than song 1. However, as someone with poor right hand technique, the tremolo picking is impressive in song 1. Production sounds very good. Congrats.

Freaking AWESOME dude. I got a big gash on my head from thrashing at 6 AM in the morning. Now I'm off to the hospital.

Pretty good. Sounds like Enslaved meets Sepultura on the 2nd one

We released the two more "radio friendly" tracks for promo and to get more "likes". Youtube channel coming soon, and then when this distribution talk and crap is done (it has taken a year!!! Now I know why musicians take so long sometimes, holy crap), Album will be available on all popular mediums.

I like Tosserlad. A song about the existential toll salad tossing takes on one's soul(and breath). Very deep.

Coincidentally, "Tosserlad" is Norwegian for a type of TROLL that lives in the ruins of buildings....the song is about a person trapped under rubble contemplating the end of life. I would too, actually, if having to ...toss salad...as you say.

What was your other project you were working on a few months ago . Not near as heavy but I enjoyed it. Wondering if you ever did a full album or compilation of songs. Swampwater heathens or something similar ?

Yes, that took a back seat since this one had more of a critical interest due to Howie. Howie will be producing Swampwater Heathens but after the work and release is done for this album.

These are roughs, sans vocals...because we can't find the right singer......part of why it is pending. But, it will come to fruition...just shifted focus for a bit. Know a country/metal hybrid singer with a slight darker edge? Grateful if you do.

I'm know bands like Slayer, Anthrax, etc were told the same. Funny how 3 decades later I see them still selling out shows just a few weeks ago.
This didn't sound like like those to me. Not gonna hate, but couldn't make it thru 2 minutes of either song. Idk how the jump is made from Metallica or Pantera to... that. Sounded like someone took an otherwise enjoyable song & pressed fast forward.

Thank you for the honesty, can't please everyone...

Nor should you try. Totes respect making something you can be proud of as an artist vs trying to make commercial shit for a buck.

That was the plan, we did not want to do the typical thrash, nor the djent, or whatever it's called...just a different approach altogether. We simply call ourselves "metal", you might like some of the songs that are not yet released...especially one titled "VON". THAT one is more straight "death" in terms of attack, similar in technique to Nile or Origin.

You can see Howie Beno, our producer, sitting with us in Brandon's photos. I will be in NYC today to meet up with him at Galaxy Diner at 9th and 46th. Then going to 30th Street Guitars to inquire about a custom-made, computer-etched guitar with three-dimentional styling. It will be a unique, one-of-a-kind custom...I'm thinking chain-maille or something medieval-looking.
