Last 5 years were average to poor in 4 of those 5 season, with one good season. After 23 years of grinding he should have taken a year off to relax and assess his options. This is essentially a free payday for him but for USF it'll take 2-3 seasons for them to have to move on from him if they don't markedly improve. Seems like a rushed decision by the AD. They have nothing to lose. They should be looking for an up-and-coming coach/staff. There are a lot of coaches out there to choose from.
