While Lindell is obviously not a scientist and his opinion doesn't mean anything, I don't understand the pushback on him talking about this as a potentially life saving drug. You cant get it so there's really no danger in talking about its potential. Anderson Cooper really went after him and even said that if it was approved by the FDA as a treatment, he wouldn't take it. How does that make sense? Are we really just gonna go with "vaccine or nothing"?

The people crying about Lindell are the same people who proclaimed Cuomo as Hero of the Republic

Ill remind you that over 170k americans have died since your last "cure" thread was started. Lets just let the medical community work without politicizing the process. The president being convinced of something has no impact on its effectivness and it draws resources that could be put to work in better areas.

The President is leading the fastest, most credible program to a rapid vaccine in history, of which there are already multiple viable candidates.

Sounds like you're spewing BS again.

Because it is dangerous for people to pushing scam products, and Oleandrin can be dangerous, it's potential side effects include respiratory paralaysis, and death. If you dont see the problem with a guy who makes pillows pushing things that can literally kill people, then I am not exactly sure what to tell you. Not to mention, in the interview, he couldnt even answer the most basic of questions about the testing of this drug, a drug he has a financial interest in, yet we are supposed to take his word for it? Pass.

There has never been a bigger concentration of scientists working on a cure for this virus in human history....but let's all stop and listen to the My Pillow Guy. 🤪

You'd think you guys would have learned your lesson by now.

Who exactly is politicizing it? Am I politicizing it when I say that quinoline based drugs show effectiveness against covid?

This country has gone insane. The guy who makes pillows and sell them via stupid commercials, is now who people are looking at as a health expert?

You can't buy oleandrin because its not approved for treatment of anything. Its possible that the scientists that are working with it have found a way to make it safe and it could actually be a breakthrough drug.

THe only reason this is getting traction is because Lindell has worked with Trump, so yes, you are politicizing it.

Ok, then lets see the testing on it. Cooper asked him a million questions on the testing and he couldnt answer a single one, but somehow the people not taking him seriously are the problem? GIve me a break.

So if someone says "this drug might show potential" and that person has a political leaning, its automatically politicizing that drug. Weird thought process there. I guess if Biden comes out and says something about a vaccine that immediately makes it political.

If that person sells pillows for a living and has no scientific background, and cant even answer basic questions about the scientific testing, has a financial interest in the drug, etc, then yes, that is what it means.

The weirder thought process is thinking we should take every unqualified view as being a serious opinion.

So since you don't have a political science degree, your opinion shouldn't be taken seriously when discussing politics.

The Mypillow guy is recommending it to the president. There is nothing medical going on here this is happening in a political channel.

Come on, Cubs, everybody knows the My Pillow Guy knows what he's talking about as opposed to that idiot health 'expert', Dr. Fauci. :) :) :)

Politics and medicine are not remotely the same thing and this is such a red herring. Politics encompasses various aspects of life and society, medicine focuses on specific things. A political science degree doesnt make one an expert on politics, because there are too many aspects to politics to be considered an expert on all of it, just because you have a degree. Would you go to a doctor that believed demons were raping people and causing health issues? If the answer is no, which it is, then why would argue the public should take that persons views seriously? Would you go see the mypillow guy if you were having medical issues? If the answer is no, which it is, then explain to me why we should all take his opinion on this seriously?

You aren't an expert so you're opinion on either position means nothing and you're only politicizing things.

You're going in circles. I said in the OP that his opinion doesn't matter so I dont understand the pushback from others who are also not experts. Who knows if he's right or wrong? Are you saying unequivocally that he is wrong?

His opinion not mattering is all the more case for pushback, because it is dangerous to pushing this type of shit. IF he came out and said that shooting up large amounts of heroin would cure the coronavirus, you think nobody should pushback on that?

I am saying he has provided absolutely zero proof that he is right. If he can provide the testing methods, results, etc, and it shows promise, then that would be fantastic. But the fact he cant do that, yet still pushes a drug that would make him money, makes me 99% sure he is full of shit.

What was that whole thing about red herrings just a few minutes ago?

By creating a logical fallacy by comparing it to using large amounts of heroin. Whoops.

It isnt a logical fallacy at all. He is pushing unproven drugs as an answer to coronavirus. You can substitute any drug you want, but as long as it unproven with apparently very secretive testing, then the point remains the same, that we should pushback on it.

Imagine thinking that people are looking to Mike Lindell for medicinal guidance.
