I was listening to Mike and Mike yesterday and all of the talk about Miles getting fired surrounded on the fact that he didn't adapt to the change in the game. That he still relies on the 3 yards and a cloud of dust, doest adjust his game plan when it isnt working, and his recruiting in LA has been lacking recently. Everything they said about him shouts GOL all over again to me. Yes it would be a splashy hire, so was GOL. Yes he would improve recruiting in the short term but what about long term. Yes he would have some good years and even a great year or too but too many down years in between.
If I'm going for a SEC retread give me Chizik. Personally though I want new, young blood that wants to build a legend here. I'm watching VT today and Beamer has been there forever, I know it's a stretch but that is what I want. Someone that comes in and makes this program their legacy.
