Milo Yiannopoulos at UCF tonight

He's a racist, xenophobic, self-hating gay man. The gay Ann Coulter if you will.

I've tried to look for those characters in his videos. I can't find any on Youtube.

I see that he talks about very controversial topics most of which I would want to have a public conversation about. He always seems has his FACTS straight.

Now, I don't really politically align myself with him. So if you have a link or video of Milo being a racist, xenophobic, self-hating gay man, I would want to see it.

Oh, self hating? Why- because he doesn't line up behind the same rallying points you do?

Don't get me started on the gay thing, I've been there before on this forum and to be honest, you're usually one of the more reasonable ones minus a few things. When you put down your own community and begin making fun of them, yeah, it's a little self hating and a bit damaging to those who may not be as comfortable as him in their own skin.

Oh, he's also stated if he could, he would choose to be straight.

I just went back looking at videos where Milo was being a racist, xenophobic, self-hating gay man. I don't see or hear it.

I think you're labeling people who aren't on the same political ideology side as you, without ever listening to them. That's being a bigot. BTW politically I don't agree with Milo.

Here are the 2 videos I just watched on Milo. Do you have a link?

I am reasonable. I reasonably dislike when people call others "self hating" just because they don't line up behind the same talking points that they're "supposed to". I hear it all the time- "self hating" black conservatives". "Self hating" woman Republicans. "Self hating" Hispanic Trump supporters.

From everything I've read, Milo has never struck me as "hating" being gay. He simply comes at being gay, and the surrounding issues, much differently than the de facto gay talking heads that are usually pumped up by the media and Hollywood. And of course he says things to be provocative and often to be a dick.

He stated, if I could choose, I would choose to be straight. Sounds pretty self-hating to me.

If you can't love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else, can I get an amen?

A lot people think being gay is a choice so Milo probably enlightening to us Neo-Nazi gay bashing woman hating racist xenophobic deplorable Trump fans anti-Semites whatever more -ist there are. Alright now back to drawing swastikas on synagogues & creating white supremacy Pepe the Frog memes.

He stated that in the video that I link.

Sounded like he was pointing out that gays get discriminated against or criticized more often than straights. I tend to agree with that.

Would a black person choose to be white? Idk. But many whites wouldn't choose to be black bc blacks get decriminated against especially in the criminal justice system. That's not "self hating". That's just facts. Or am I way off / wrong?

His talk at UCF was called, "10 Things I Hate About Islam".

Really?

Being conservative used to mean you were against gay marriage and supported the traditional family unit, but now any internet idiot who pisses off feminists is one.

Interesting to know that the foundation of being a "conservative" is being against a very recent social issue.

So you find it odd that a gay person would not like a religion that would have gay people killed?

Really?

Yes, I am a gay person. I do not hate an entire religion because certain people are evil.

What does being Catholic have to do with this?
I'm Catholic, and I don't ever recall a sermon telling me to hate anyone, Let alone Islam.

.

I just have found that religious people generally are more critical of other religions. A gay catholic probably has many critical things to say about Islam. That's all.

Here you go, have a read and please, honestly, no troll tell me that this isn't a horribly racist speech.

I don't see it. I think it's funny, corny, perhaps blatantly honest at times, but having a general opinion based on know facts isn't racist or bigoted. It's just that, an opinion. He isn't lying about what happens to homosexuals in parts of the world ruled by Islam. These are knows atrocities.

I don't see the self hate tone either. I see a brutally honest assessment of his reality of being homosexual. Like fab's example. It's funny, it paints a picture, but it doesn't mean he hates himself.

I had never even heard about this guy before, but I'm quite intrigued about his views right now.

Sigh. As a gay man myself, maybe you will never "get it". The only person I feel like would be able to back me up on this is LittleMiss but I don't know if she is even around here anymore.

As a gay man, growing up, hearing another gay man basically say that you're inferior and if you had a choice, change is an option is a HORRIBLE message to send to gay youth and is extremely toxic. I have been out for 8 years and cannot be more proud of who I am. Are things a bit tougher? Sure. But to say that I would choose to be something I am not, is me saying I don't completely like who I am.

Also - in the case of how he portrays Islam - he laughs at it, generalizes and is extremely racist. Period.

Dude, there's no "getting it". I don't have to "get it". You were born gay, that's not a choice, it's a fact. You didn't just flip a switch and said "hmmm, I think I like dudes". I'm very proud of the fact that you're proud of who you are.

I really don't think that's what the guy is saying. If I had a choice between being who I am or being, say, being Chris Hemsworth, you bet your sweet ass I'd rather be Chris Hemsworth. But that's not even a choice. Instead, I am who I am: a 6'1" bald overweight Puerto Rican man. Would life be easier if I was Chris Hemsworth? Fukc yes it would. But I can't change who I am, and it doesn't mean I'm not proud of who I am. As a matter of fact, this dude on that speech (I can spell that name, sorry, too many letters) doesn't once say he's not proud of who he is. I didn't read anywhere where he says you shouldn't be proud of being gay. Once again, I'm not going to even pretend to understand why it is that you feel that way about his message, because it isn't even about that.

His portrayal of radical Islam is, unfortunately, spot on. Let me repeat that, because this is what he talks about: radical Islam. He's not saying muslims, he's saying radical islamists. I have quite a few friends and neighbors who are muslim and I don't agree that a general statement can be made about Islam, or anything else. But he's not wrong. You may not like it, you may not agree with it, but go to a radical Islam country and tell somebody you're homosexual and see how it goes. I think all religions are pointless, yet I will defend anybody's right to practice theirs... unless it takes them to a place where they can justify killing a person based on the sex of who they fukc.

We will agree to disagree.
