this has been a reoccurring theme all season. Is it funky mechanics or him not stepping through his passes

He's leaving receivers to dry and they're getting hit hard, while getting their legs taken out from beneath them.

It's a combination of that 3/4 side arm crap and him being 5'11" to begin with. That obviously worked in high school in Hawaii, but it ain't flying now. Actually, it is flying....all his passes past the line of scrimmage, that is.

Any pass past the line of scrimmage has been leaving receivers to get nailed jumping for the ball all year.

And I don't think I've seen a decent spiral from him all year.

Who got burned on that bomb? Looks like the run opened up the pass for Tulsa

I hate to be critical of a kid, but he's just not good for D-1 football. Maybe a good D-2 QB. I hope we have someone coming in next year who fits the mold.

Marvin Washington and the other two QB recruits can't get here quick enough. Milton may have been good against the talent in Hawaii but that level of talent is below 95% of Florida talent. I really hoped the kid would have progressed, and I understand the O-line sucks, but Milton's throwing motion is so messed up, he will always be susceptible to overthrowing his receivers, and that has nothing to do with the horrific O-line. The kid is just not a D-1 QB, and I haven't seen the "it" factor coach Frost was referring to all season. You cannot continually put your defense on the field after 3 and outs and expect to have any real success. The defense is just plain worn out at the end of games. I don't believe the players, especially the defense has any confidence in Milton being able to lead this team to victory against ANY team with a winning record, I know I don't as a fan. We haven't beaten a single team with a with a winning record all season.

More like the "shit" factor and balls sailing over receivers if his throwing motion isnt corrected (dropping his elbow). That was so painful to watch last night.

I hope most people realize that this inaccuracy problem often doesn't get corrected in a QB throughout a college career. It didn't with Holman.
When have we seen a grossly inaccurate freshman, become super accurate as a senior?. It hasn't happened more often than it has.

I asked this same question regarding accuracy a couple weeks ago...and was shot down for it. Was the kid throwing accurate tight spirals with some oomph in high school? If he was....what happened? If not...can it be taught at this stage? He's sure not throwing them now. He doesn't even seem to be able to make the screen passes on a consistent basis. Any throw past the line of scrimmage floats high and gets his receivers nailed in the ribs.

Well.,, it looks like the questions that you asked were the right ones and that your concerns are real.

Can't get maximum yardage on screen passes consistently if the throws aren't accurate consistently.
Those are the most basic throws. Even a freshman at this level should be making them better than Milton is at this point IMO

I think the front runner next fall will be Darriel Mack, the recruit from VA. He is by far the biggest QB at 6-3", 205 lbs, and also the most highly rated, for what that means.
