The 2015 MLB Draft begins tonight with the first round, compensation round and second round. That airs on MLB Network.

Rounds 3-40 continue Tuesday and Wednesday. Round 3 begins Tuesday at 1 p.m. and will last all afternoon ending after 10 rounds. Rounds 11-40 will take place on Wednesday beginning at 12 noon.

With a senior-laden team and a lack of juniors, UCF isn't expecting any early exits to the pros. The top name to watch is SS Dylan Moore, who those close to the program say could go within the top 10 rounds. Not sure why he didn't get drafted last year though.

Other players who should be drafted at some point include RHP Zach Rodgers and 1B James Vasquez.

Coach Rooney and staff will be closely watching to see where some of their signees go. UCF has three recruits with top 10 round potential. Rankings via Baseball America:

50. LHP Juan Hilman (Orlando-Olympia)
122. SS Ryan Mountcastle (Oviedo-Hagerty)
188. OF Jason Heinrich (New Port Richey-River Ridge)

Here are the other known signees (UCF doesn't release/publicize signees until August):

SS Keshawn Lynch (Haines City)
RHP Thaddeus Ward (Fort Myers-Bishop Verot)
SS Matthew Mika (Lake Worth-Park Vista)
1B Jacob Corso (Lake Mary)
LHP Samuel Crocker (Merritt Island)
LHP Bryce Tucker (Lake Brantley)
LHP Kevin King (Boone)
C Anthony George (Hagerty)
C Louis Baker (Queensland, Australia)
LHP Ryan Terry (Fort Lauderdale-Westminister Christian)
RHP Nick McCoy (Wabash Valley Ind. College)
RHP Josh Smith (Eastern Florida State College)

Looking at the list above, the newest signee is Louis Baker from Australia.

Future Schedules: Next season UCF will visit the Lone Star State for a pair of weekends. They'll begin a home-and-home at Rice and also will play a tournament at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Not sure of the other participants there. They will also continue the Tuesday/Wednesday home/away series with Florida, plus Miami also comes back on the midweek home schedule. UCF will visit FSU again next week for a midweek two-game series. In 2017, UCF hosts Alabama for a weekend series. Rice returns the trip to Orlando to open the 2018 season.
