Modern liberalism all wrapped up in a perfect article

LOL

Rage against the Christian chain in THEIR city. Yet they’d cheerlead an art gallery that depicted the Virgin Mary aborting baby Jesus.

Paid columnist with a liberal/vegan slant doing what columnists do. I'm sure the New Yorker is loving the clicks.

Always thought the CFA furor/worship was a bit crazy on both sides, but that's just me. Anyway, the cows are great marketing. Most fast food joints have cycled through a dozen campaigns since the cows made their debut.

I like CFA because I prefer chicken over red meat, they do have "healthy" options and rarely do you find a location that isn't spotless. Also, consistency. They're almost always at their A game. When you go to any other fast-food place it's a coin flip whether the stuff will come out cold, fries old and soggy, etc.

That’s why chick fil a is successful . You never get subpar service or food .

Cmon now- no one goes to fast food to be healthy. Get that southern fried chicken sandwich with the GOAT pickles. It is the best fast food sandwich in the country.

I get their salads and grilled stuff and while it's still fast food, I don't feel like my ass is going to jiggle for a week afterwards.

I get fast food like twice a year. When I do I want the real deal!

I honestly think their food is blah. To me, their grilled chicken tastes like hotdogs.

NOO! I used to think that it was meh but I've had a new found love for their chicken sandwiches recently. I do think Publix is better and probably even KFC extra crispy.

I never had an issue with them though, even when the whole gay thing was going on.

Publix has the best everything. I just tried one of their new power bowls and it was awesome.

Another southern Christian chain. Watch out NYC!!!!

I'll agree with you on the Publix food being the best. BOGO FTW too. I didn't know they were a Christian chain, got a source on that?

Do they have crucifixes hung everywhere? No. Have you looked at their book and card section? It’s basically the same as going to your nearest Baptist Church gift store.

So you are telling me that a southern based company catering to their clients is proof they are a Christian company?

They are one per a friend who is a career management guy . But they do it the right way . Christians are supposed to lead by example , not shove their views down your throat . They treat their employees and customers right .

Are you going to get angry about this too?

I don’t recall seeing huge Christian reading selections in any other retail or grocery stores not named Barnes n Noble. Not to mention liberal SJWs have been after Publix for years And accused them of being a right wing religious organization.

I will agree with you on the second part, it's why I love going to Publix, Chick Fil A, Costco and other places that actually treat their employees with respect, it really shows. I was just wondering because I honestly didn't know that, and can't find anything on the internet after a 30 second search. But I figured 85 wouldn't say it if it wasn't true.

Again, no need for baseless accusations (still waiting for you to point out my personal attacks in the other thread, but that's ok, I know you are busy). Just wondering if you had any actual proof to back up your statement. I guess not.

They're a very "old school" company with a lot of conservative principles. They just had a mini-crisis with the gays over a certain medicine being offered in their health plans.

Still LOVE them. Their food is amazing. Their prices, with the BOGOs and 10 for 10s, etc, are actually quite good too.

Chik Fil A sucks. The chicken isnt even crispy. Their sandwiches are like a soggy dough ball with flavorless white meat, with a couple floppy pickles thrown on to give some scrappy flavor.

The Jenkins family attends one of the largest baptist churches in Lakeland and is a huge donor to Baptist causes.

To deny this is just hilarious.

They often run BOGO on some really good beer and wine too. It’s awesome. We got BOGO Kona Longboard Ale today

Publix plays small trick on their Beer BOGO's: They increase the price of their 6-pack $1.50 -$2.00 then they offer it as a BOGO.

Still a great deal.

Worth it. Our local store manager knows us ( we are there far too often) and saw that my son cracks up at balloons, so she tracks us down every time we come in to hand deliver him a ballooon.

They go above and beyond. And their pre-chopped veggie section is a God send for someone married to a vegetarian

All Publix stores and DCs are only closed three days per year:

Easter
Thanksgiving
Christmas Day

Yeah the pet chopped , diced , spiraled stuff is a godsend . Helps us still eat healthy on a tight time schedule

If the company was supported by the Muslims this writer would have never opened his mouth. Just another case of attacking ALL of Christianity. Jesus told us it would happen.

Chick-fil-A is walking, cooking and serving in the blessings of God. Who can stand against them?

If the sjw/libtard/dummycrats/communists had their way, they would send all white Christians to the gas chambers along with anyone who believes in the constitution of the United States.

spicy chicken deluxe for the win. also the 8 piece nuggets rock.

i bet the writer of the article will secretly go there once a week.

I didn't pay attention to it, until ... the ACLU came out on the side of Chick-fil-A. For those that missed it ...

After the president of Chick-fil-A went on Christian radio and said he personally doesn't believe in gay marriage, a Chicago politician threatened all sorts of actions against Chick-fil-A. The ACLU warned that Chicago politician about threatening to sanction a private entity, who merely stated an individual, personal belief, that hasn't broken the law, and abides by the law, is ignoring due process (on the corporation), let alone violating his civil rights (on the individual).

This is where we are headed in the US, not a 'war on religion' or a 'war on women' or a 'war on gays' per se, but a 'war on thought.' No one can have an opinion any more. We are immediately labeling and sanctioning everyone without any due process. I mean, it's one thing to boycott. But it's another to use the government's power and its guns to try to change the thoughts of people.

There has been at least as much discrimination thrown at Chick-fil-A for being a Christian values company than they've allegedly committed, especially in the past decade. I can always tell when someone really doesn't care to stop and understand when they complain about Chick-fil-A being closed on Sundays. The same goes for the sheer amount of vandalism that the Christian bakeries have suffered, even ones that serve gay couples, is rather scary, but one never hears in the US media.

As always, it's either cowards finding an excuse to commit crime or politicians trying to make names for themselves, at the expense of good Americans.

I honestly think their food is blah. To me, their grilled chicken tastes like hotdogs.
Agreed. I'm not big on their food at all.

I really didn't care much until I got into the civics of the ACLU arguments. It started to scare me how much modern Progressivism seemingly ignores the portion of the 1st Amendment having to do with government non-interference of religion. Then I read up on the "Freedom from Religion" folk, and started to realize too many Americans are missing the concept of what that portion of the 1st Amendment is all about.

As always ... I do not own a gun and I am not involved with any Christian denomination, I'm just a critically thinking Libertarian (Libertarian-Capitalist), and respect follow, critically thinking Liberals (Libertarian-Socialists).

Obviously @fried-chicken doesn't understand how true Christians operate. No, literally, the type of Christians you do want to be around look at life this way. It's the lip-service Christians you don't want to be around.

Chick-fil-A impressed me when they were one of the first on the scene, en masse, with food after the Pulse Shooting. Their employees do mobilize for charity on Sundays as well.

I have a general disagreement with organized religion in general, and the follies of man who claim spirituality. But when I meet a true, spiritual Christian, they are some of my favorite Americans.
