Put players names on the back and take the UCF off the unis. They deserve the individual recognition.

I like the lack of names on the jerseys. I think it does a far better job of making me learn the kids too.

Your lack of cognition is astounding.
So ... you've just stooped to this? How well does that work out when you're presented with a real problem? You cannot see another person's viewpoint and difference of opinion, so you just nuke their entire intellect?

I learn the names of the players quickly, often by reading their full bio, instead of just relying on the names. It goes a long way. But I tend to lead teams, instead of tearing them down, especially when they are down. Sure, I get made fun of at times for that almost "legacy" approach ... but everyone also comes to me when they are down, because they know I don't kick people when they are down.

YMMV, of course.

Another BS GOL decision. This isn't Notre Dame.
Notre Dame isn't the only school to do this or build a program on the idea there is no #1 and no names on jerseys.

Heck, I kinda like what Temple is doing with single digit jerseys ...

You do understand why they don't have names on the jerseys, don't you? The point is to put the focus on the team first rather than individuals. Each player will get individual recognition, don't worry about that. Earn success as a team, and recognition for everyone will follow.

That worked out great for us...about 2 of 9 years so far.

Seriously ... go away. It's obvious you don't like the results in 7 out of 9 years. So why do you bother?

Are you just like someone who signs a gym membership for a full year, forcing yourself to go, when you don't like the place ... merely because you bought into it, but bitch all day, every day?

Our team is struggling to overcome injuries to key players and inexperience, and you guys are worried about the jerseys not having names on them? Seriously?

I never said I didn't like the results of all 9 years, I was just pointing out that a rare-few-years could be considered successful.

I bother because I am a real UCF fan. Maybe I'm a big fat meanie who says bad words; but I'm still a UCF fan.

And I've been here for much longer than you know, chief. And last time I checked I'm using the internet from America so I can bitch about whatever I want. :)

So ... only 2 of those 4 conference championships (not including the division titles) mattered?

Then why all the negativity? Especially around all the others?

I'll give you that you're not as bad as a few here. But you sound awfully similar at times.

Obviously. The Internet is for ranting. But it does get old to see various things called out, and I'm like ... "Oh yeah, very helpful."

I liked all of "them"...I pulled a random number out of my ass, I'm sure we have more than two good year but less than six...I would say somewhere between the Hawaii Bowl loss and today's game were the most liked years less a few. Count them how you wish.

I've been continuing wondering if your total of, now, 60 posts has something to do with that.

Hey ... I get it. I don't know your history, but at some point, I do have to question your ... "knowledge" of the program, what works, what doesn't, etc... It's clear you have very strong opinions. I'm just getting more concerned as time goes on.

I mean, our fanbase has grown, obviously. I just fear the new generations of fans and, even more so, boosters who try to push for fast changes without much as letting a kid get a half in a game, or a coach even a single conference game under his belt.

I'm sure we have more than two good year but less than six...I would say somewhere between the Hawaii Bowl loss and today's game were the most liked years less a few. Count them how you wish.
Even 2005 was a fluke. We were lucky, very lucky. Even 2013 would teeter on luck at times too.

In the end ... I've liked all the years. There's a complete difference in the program since 2003. Even when I had issues, I could look at the positives. I still remember Kyle Israel getting reps at Tulane in 2006. Every time I think the program is down ... I've been proven wrong, oh-so-wrong!

Getting back to the original topic ... keep this phrase in mind ...

UCF type of student-athlete

If we're going to take our 0-2 start and start blaming it on lack of talent and related, alleged recruiting issues because of things like names not being on the jerseys, then we're obviously missing the point of our program altogether, and the type of student-athletes we target.

Our team is struggling to overcome injuries to key players and inexperience, and you guys are worried about the jerseys not having names on them? Seriously?

That's what happens when you only recruit 17 players every year.

You all need to read more carefully.

Notice where I said "take UCF off" and "They deserve the individual recognition."

Think about that...or do I need to explain more.

Read my post from this morning.

For someone who claims to know it all and be all things to all people (as you've done here too), I thought my post was appropriate. No name calling and appropriate word to describe how you completely missed the nuance of the post.

It is unlikely you are responsible for more people than I am. But what does that have to do with anything? Try sticking to the topic and not trying to make people like you or think you're important. The more you try the worse it will be.

Oh, right now I'm no longer in management or acting as a lead. I'm back to being completely independent, making more, happier.

I was just saying it's those types of comments that really make me cringe. I see managers do it all-the-time, and try to help them out ... to no avail.

Again, just so we're clear on the chronlogy here ...

Your lack of cognition is astounding.
Again, interesting to see you stoop to that level without even attempting to address the viewpoint, hence my follow-up.

Yes. This is a legitimate area of concern.

*****It may also help the coaching staff---There have been times when the wrong players were on the field due to name mix ups. I have a feeling that we would have won the last two games if the players had the names on the jerseys.******

If you are still using the term student athlete then you have cognitive awareness. The term student athlete was established by the NCAA to perpetuate the myth that these aren't exploited workers, which they are.

Recruits want their name on the jerseys and so do the fans. It is stupid not to have them. The names have zero impact on the games but it does help with recruiting and fan experience. I don't want to memorize numbers to players names nor would 99% of the fanbase.

Wow....you still don't get it. You can lead a horse to water but you can't get UcfBS to read sarcasm/facetious post.

So you understand. I didn't address your comment because I was not serious about names on jerseys. I was saying the play was so bad that #1 UCF logo should come off and #2 players names go on to get the "credit" that "they deserve." Get it.

I think it's worse that you drone on with ridiculousness instead of reading/understanding. Chronology...you missed the point....you missed the point....you missed the point....and lastly you'll probably miss the point again after I couldn't be more clear. Post about your career as super rich bossman extraordinaire....likely.
