UF lost to Michigan by 34 (7-41). The question is when UCF will have a closer score than uf did against Michigan.

Personally I believe we will win.

Never understood this kind of "reasoning". So you're saying that because your crap team was barely good enough to get into a "pointless" bowl game, it doesn't matter that they were completely embarrassed by the opponent? Sounds pathetic. But just to go along with this type of "thinking"- guess what, UCF v Michigan is equally pointless for us. A loss matters little because it will have no weight in us winning our conference and going too a good bowl game. We went to Fiesta with 1 loss, who knows it may happen again. (a win obviously changes everything). SO, we can go back comparing the 2 games since they are equally "pointless" in your mind. PS get your hand out of your pants.

I love the $EC spin machine. Whenever one of their teams loses a bowl game it was because they weren't motivated. Maybe they just get their arses kicked.

If UF ever loses a bowl game: They were the better team, just unmotivated for a pointless bowl.
If they do win: They were the vastly superior team and won in spite of being unmotivated for a pointless bowl.
If it's a playoff game, they were the better team, but they lost because of the refs.

Wut? UCF could make a Houston like statement with a win today. Today's game means a ton.

One day if UCF gets into the Power 5 and becomes a blue blood program then you will understand why anything less than a title hunt is irrelevant.

Right! We spent too many years coming out of OOC with a 1-3 record and the coach and players all saying, "The season starts this week when we go after the conference championship. We begin 0-0 with a clean slate, yada-yada." The AAC is the prime focus for Big 12 expansion because we are considered the best non-P5 conference. If they don't take us, the Big Ten may still consider us and a Texas team to gain a toe-hold in their most important recruiting and metro regions. Houston's win challenges us to make a strong showing too against a top 10 team. As importantly, a good game seals the deal for Frost that convinces his team that his offense can stand up to the best with the current squad of players!
