Everyone knows that the triple option is very hard to prepare for. Teams that see the triple option every year do pretty well against it. I knew Navy's first year in the AAC would shake things ups. And they have. Beating Memphis was a major hit to the AAC.

Notre Dame gave Temple and Navy their only losses. The AAC would have 3 undefeated teams if it wasn't for ND.

So which one hurt the AAC more this year?

I never wanted Navy in the same conference as UCF bc of their offense. Even if your defense is much more talented it's hard to prepare for, you have to deal with chop blocks, and a lot of times there is even a hangover effect a week later on the defense. It's the perfect type of team that can ruin a perfect season. A lot of ACC fans feel the same way about Georgia Tech. All Military Academy teams should stay Independent.

Everyone on here has been harping and harping about beating P5 teams as the way to gain respect and how much more important it is than winning the conference. They played a big time team...and lost. We've played a lot of top-notch teams and lost most of them. It's a measuring stick to see how you are compared to those top-notch teams. You don't get better playing chumps. Quit whining. Last time I checked Navy is in our conference and it is up to us to beat them, and it is not their job to lose. I thought Navy was a great addition to the conference. At least they have tradition.

Who's whining?
I have no issue with Navy in the American as well. They bring tradition, are associated with long standing rivals like Notre Dame, participate in the Commander's trophy and this year fields a one loss team. What's not to like about them?
As for beating P5 teams, you notice the attention our conference gets when we get key P5 victories. We have 4 Top 25 teams at this moment and had a team that was flirting with CFP Top 10 the week before. Thats a big difference than last year. If we keep this up, expect an $8 million increase in revenue over last year.
