Do you think Amateur Model is the core soul of College Athletics?

Is paying athlete an open of the Pandora Box? Will $$$ ruin college athletics?

Is NCAA at a crossroad?

I think this paying athlete needs to have a ceiling. I also think Amateur model is the core of NCAA. No one can breathe without the heart pumping... Why? The NFL or NBA business model will change NCAA to a carter farm for Pro teams while that is only 1% of the D1 athlete or less. The reason why College is so unique and different is its amateur model of student-athlete playing for the love of the game without $$ or Business deals. If that is not the case, NCAA will just be a second tier of NBA or NFL... Do we want NCAA to be like that?? Heck no. To many fans, NCAAF or NCAA Basketball is way better than NFL. If it is a second tier, will anyone pay attention to Development League of NBA Final Four??
